My sisters and I sat at the Viewing , whatever it was. Before then I remember walking to the doors and a few strong men carried the casket through the doors. My mom tugged us along as they opened the doors.

The room was cold and smelt like lemons. Mom said it was because they cleaned a lot. I'm not sure why, it was almost like there wasn't a single speck of dust, not even in the air. Fake flowers and bowls of fake fruit decorated the lavish room as we made our way to the benches. A girl walked up to me and I gasped in surprise. It was Lilly.

" do you remember me?" she asked uncertainty.

" You're only my best friend. How has your year with out me been?"

"I had to get a new best friend. But I still miss you."

It had already been a year since we moved into the mountains. I gained friends and daddy wasn't around much to yell and hit mommy.

"I miss you too. Are you 10 yet?" I can't believe we are in the doubles already." I exclaimed.

" you're already 10?! I just turned 9!" she said jealous.

I was always an old 3rd grader. Now I'm an ancient 2nd grader. I wouldn't tell her I was still in 2nd grade, she would make fun of me.

At least I was older.

" so why are you here?" I asked her.

" My mom, Shes related some how. I can't remember."

"Oh ok."

We looked over all of the adults, they all flocked over the black box. My mommy said it was a casket I'm not sure why its here but it must be important.

My eyes wonder and I see my grandma. She has tears streaming down her face. I want to hug her but we have to stay by the other children.

The commotion around me is almost in slow motion, and mostly with tears on peoples faces. Many people must of loved him.

The room slowly fills and you can hear sniffles every few seconds. Hushed mummers from the little circles I'm the room. Even the kids in the room are not running around.

Mommy ushers us out of the room as the other people start to leave. I say goodbye to Lilly and we leave in mommy's car.

I wish daddy was here, he could make anyone laugh. The sky out side is still shining. A blue sky and birds chirping. You would almost expect a cloudy sky and the birds to stop mid flight and plummet to the ground below.

But none of this happens. The world keeps going.

Our car never stops.
