Five hours later.

No replies. No calls. No Mason.

I waited. But still I got nothing.

One big NOTHING.

What the hell happened to him? I tried calling him several times but no answer. My chest ached when I started thinking about how Mason had kissed me like we were the last two people on earth and it was our last kiss. I couldn't focus on how he said that I'm beautiful. And how distracted I am when his hands on my body, as if he wanted to touch every single inch of me and never get enough of it. But I feel so damn empty right now, I miss him so much. I miss my man.

"Stop it." I heard their giggling. "C'mon, We need to put that ice cream in the freezer...Uh, Ann? What the hell are you doing here?" I heard Chrissy's giggling but when she saw me on the couch she was shocked like she saw two people having sex in public. Great. Just great.

"I live here." My messed up mood strikes. Way to go. Kill me now.

"I'm very aware of that. What I mean is, I thought you will be out for work?" She said curiously while walking toward me and not minding Tom beside her as if he wasn't there at all. "What happened? God, don't tell me you messed up? Its all over your face." She studied my damn awful face. Amazing.

"Its not about work. I did great and we finished early." I said dryly.

My voice was small and all the joy I felt a while ago was all gone like I didn't care about my career anymore.

"Then what is it about?" Her brows arched and looking at me more closely. She's not gonna let this go. I knew it.

"A guy. A guy who treated me like a princess and suddenly left me hanging. What a twist."

I buried my face on my hand and pressed my eyelids with my fingers to stop my tears from falling. Chrissy stared at me for at least a minute before finally moving. She whispered something to Tom then he immediately went to the kitchen. She slowly took a seat next to me while gathering all the strands of her hair and secured them with an elastic.

"Tell me about it." She gave me that tell-me-now-or-else-you'll-regret look.

I'm doomed. "I haven't heard from Mason since last night. I called him and texted him but I got nothing. And I'm sick worried like a kid who lost her favorite doll." I started talking.

I took a deep breath before finding the right words to say, even saying his name hurts like a million axes stabbed through me.

"Oh, how about lets go check his house? Maybe something happened? Ohmygod!" She panicked.

Chrissy was one hella crazy over thinker when it comes to situations like this. She usually overreact which makes the situation worse, but what if shes right? Oh God no, please.

"What do you mean?" I croaked.

"What if he tripped on a puddle while he was taking shower and hit his head so bad? What if someone robbed him and he fought back then he got stabbed by something sharp? What if-." She said hysterically.

OHMYGOD CHRISSY YOU ARE ONE INSANE WOMAN.

"Stop it Chris! Just stop! He's fine. I know it, I can feel it. Oh please." My heart began to pound and I can't breathe as my eyes burst into tears then I can't stop sobbing.

"I'm so sorry! I over react things. You know that. Lets just calm down and wait. We're here for you." She embraced me and I felt her warmth.

She called out for Tom and he came right in front of us in the living room holding three bottles of beer and some crackers.
Oh great, beer. One thing I need for now. I love Tom for being so smart tonight! This is getting really interesting. Fantastic.
