“You’re faking it.” That’s the worst thing you can tell someone with a chronic illness. People think you are lying about your pain because they cannot see it. They don’t realize that pain can occur inside the body, beyond the human eye, leaving no noticeable signs. People with chronic pain battle every day to live their life. Pain can make it difficult to move, pain can make it difficult to think, pain can make life difficult. Chronic pain is a serious problem that needs awareness. People are silently suffering, because they feel no one will believe them. Well… I believe them. Why? I believe them because I suffer from chronic pain.
