You wave red, white, and blue
And we wave back at you
50 stars waving high in the sky
To the Soldier it says goodbye

Defend this country with our lives
As Soldiers say goodbye to their wives
The Soldiers march their way off to war
They say goodbye to their families at the door

In this land of the free
Our brothers, sisters, you and me
We raise our hand over our hearts
Showing you we shall not part

Over the time that they're gone
A new day, a new dawn
Kids waiting for their dads to come home
So they won't be alone

When their dads walk through that door
There is nothing more
Warm hearted than to see a Soldier return
And to see all they have learned

Having a father, husband come back
And to sit down and enjoy an evening snack
We praise our Soldiers and those who have served
All the applause the Soldiers deserve
