Today we were at the vet and we heard tiny meows. After our appointment was finished the vet tech asked if we'd like to meet some tiny kittens. Of course we wanted to meet some tiny kittens.
These tiny kittens were 4 week old rescues who had to be fed every four hours and were very vocal. They were very sweet. Their names were Luna and Neville.

The vet brought the kittens out of their carrier and held them out at about waist height. Graham had Ned on his leash. At this point Ned was firmly planted between Graham's legs; already startled by the teeny meows.
We invited Ned to come up and give the kittens a sniff. As he got closer Neville let out a tiny "MEEEEEEOOOUUUUU" and that was that. Ned hunkered down. His eyes got huge and his ears got flat. The second meow and he had backed himself through Graham's legs and was in the hall.
So we'll add tiny, defenseless, orphaned kittens to the list of things that Ned is afraid of.
