I can't believe I let it phase me,
Take control of my psyche.
All things sacred became corrupted
As you tore down everything I thought we built together.
I can't believe I let you consume me:
You don't belong here inside my head.
You're very sweet aroma,
Once as rose buds,
Is now the taste of acid.
I can't believe you take up my mind,
Somehow.
From time to time you reappear,
Melting my heart with turpentine.
A parasite,
A fink,
A serpent,
You offer nothing constructive.
Ten years may pass,
And always,
With the wrath of your sins,
The pain will still be fresh.
