Request for quianamundthree

As I walked through the market place, I noticed that a group of girls was standing in a crowd.

It could only be one thing.

A Knight of the Round Table. Or to be more specific, Sir Lancelot. The best of the best.

He just so happens to come through here every Saturday. So all the girls are waiting for him when he arrives.

"Why aren't you over there fawning over Sir Lancelot?"

I looked over to see a middle aged cat lady standing behind the vegetable cart. She smiled mischievously at me.

I walked over, smiling. "I have no time for that. I have chores to do. Besides, what's the point of fawning if he isn't going to notice me?"I asked, picking out some corn, eggplant, and zucchini.

"Oh, come now. He might notice you. You are quite pretty,"the woman said as I handed her some money. I chuckled, shaking my head. "I highly doubt it. Not with all those girls just waiting to offer him their hands in marriage,"I smiled.

The group of girls began to squeal and scream.

Ah, there he is.

He walked through the crowd of girls with ease, his head high with pride. The visor on his helmet was open, showing off his handsome features.

His strong chin. His crimson eyes. His threatening, yet oh so attractive scowl.

Oh my...what am I thinking?

"You can not hide it from me, girl. I can see the glint in your eyes. You wish to be close to him. Closer than the other girls can be,"I heard the woman chuckle.

I blushed a bit, turning away from the sight of the handsome knight. "Ah, thank you for the vegetables. I'll be leaving now,"I smiled. She nodded. "I hope you get what you want,"she said. I hurried off.

I can't seem to tame the red in my cheeks. Maybe the woman was right. Maybe I DO feel a certain way about Sir Lancelot. But I do not wish to be just one of his fans.

While I was in thought, I wasn't watching where I was going and bumped into someone. The contents of my basket spilled onto the ground. I quickly got onto my knees to pick them up.

"My apologies! I wasn't paying attention!"I said, not looking up. The person I bumped into suddenly started putting my things into my basket.

"I should be the one apologizing. I made you drop everything."

Such a deep voice. But it sounds as sweet as honey.

I shook my head, looking up. "No, no. It's my...fault."

Sir Lancelot. Is the one I bumped into.

The world seemed to stop for a moment as our eyes met. I caught myself staring and looked down, blushing madly.

I managed to pick up the rest of my things quickly. Sir Lancelot stood, holding out a hand towards me. I took it and he gently pulled me up.

My hand seemed to fit perfectly in his. Almost like a puzzle.

"Are you alright, Miss...?"

"(Y/n). (Y/n) (L/n), and yes. I'm alright, kind knight."

He gave me a small smile, making my heart skip a beat. I took my hand away from his, using it to hold my basket.

"Just to be sure that you're alright, would you like me to walk you home?"Sir Lancelot asked. I opened my mouth to speak but no sound came out.

Come now! It's just Sir Lancelot!
