Last town: Luka, who was unable to contain her jealousy any longer, yelled at Miku, and told her she didn't have a chance against Meiko, hurting them both.

Miku's PoV

I can't believe what Luka just said.

I thought we were friends.

But now, seeing the "truth", it really hurts.

I run off, tears escaping from my eyes and running down my face.

I come across Rin and Len, who are walking out of the library carrying books.

Rin notices me. She drops the books and rushed over to me.

"Miku, what's wrong? What happened?" she asked, hugging me.

I hugged her back, allowing myself to sob.

Len is picking up Rin's books, annoyed she dropped them. He looks up and sees me in my current state.

"Jesus, what happened to Miku?" He asked Rin. Rin shrugs.

"Miku, please tell us what happened.." Rin said, pulling away from the hug and looking me in the eyes.

I take a deep breath and start explaining the whole situation.

"It's Luka... She yelled at me, and told me that Kaito is better of with Meiko. She told me to just give up, and she called me pathetic." I sniffed. Len's eyes widen, while Rin's burn with anger.

"We'll see who's the pathetic one." Rin hissed, and ran off on the direction I came in.

"Rin, wait-!" I called, but Len has grabbed my arm.

"There's no stopping her now." He whispered with a sigh.

Rin's PoV

I ran up the endless stairs, in search for Luka.

Miku is absolutely heartbroken right now. And it's all her fault.

I get to the top of the staircase and walk onto the roof, searching the area for a certain pink haired girl.

Eventually I spot her, sitting near the edge of the roof. I run up to her and grab her by the shoulders.

She turns around and looks at me, with tears in her own eyes; however I couldn't care less about that right now.

"WHY THE HELL DID YOU SAY THAT TO MIKU!? DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH OR SOMETHING?!" I yelled at her.

Luka stood up.

"It was how I felt." She muttered.

"How YOU felt? You don't seem to care how Miku feels right now!" I raged. "SHE CAME DOWNSTAIRS SOBBING HER HEART OUT!"

Luka doesn't say anything. She just stares at me with an unreadable expression.

"I thought you were our friend, Luka." I whispered, looking down. I clenched my fist and looked her in the eye again. "I guess I was wrong."

Without hesitation, I punched her in the stomach. She fell back, inches away from the edge of the building.

"You're the pathetic one." I said, turning away.

I walked away, with my fists still clenched.

I guess it was better when I was almost invisible.

I ran back into the building, to see Len standing by himself in the middle of the room.

"Where's Miku?" I asked, running over to him.

"She just left. As in, just ran off the schools premises." Len sighed.

I sigh, before grabbing onto Len's hand and dragging him behind me.

"We've got to go and find her."

Luka's PoV

"Luka?" I heard a voice call out. I look up to see IA, who is wandering over to me.

She looks around the rooftop, and then back at me.

"What happened?" she asked.

"I lost it. I shouted at Miku and told her a bunch of things that I didn't mean. Now she's heartbroken and I feel absolutely awful." I say, looking down as tears formed in my eyes again.

IA puts her hand on my shoulder. I hesitate before making eye contact with her.

"You need to apologise." IA advised. "Wait for her to cool down first, and in a couple of days go and apologise to her."

I sighed. I guess that's my only option.

"I will. Thanks, IA." I say, smiling a small, thankful smile.

"No problem." IA patted me on the back, before leaving the roof.

Rin's PoV

"Are you crazy?! You're going to get us expelled!" Len shouted.

"Len. My best friend is in a terrible state at the moment. I DON'T CARE IF WE GET EXCLUDED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS!!" I shout at him.

Len sighed, allowing me to drag him along.

"Fine, fine." He said.

Eventually we get to Miku's apartment. I knock on the door and, after a moment of hesitation, the door opens.

"Rin? Len?" She said, obviously a little confused.

I look at her. Her eyes are red from crying, and her pigtails are all knotty.

"We wanted to help you." Len smiled.

"Oh, I...I don't think there's much we can do." Miku says sadly, looking down at the ground.

I hug her tightly.

"Miku, you mustn't give up. Everything Luka said was a bunch of lies. Kaito wouldn't pick Meiko over you." I whisper.

Miku sighed uncertainly.

"I'm not so sure.." She replied, tears welling up in her anxious blue eyes.

"Don't cry Miku. It'll be okay." Len assured her.

Miku shrugged her shoulders.

"I hope..."

Len: Let's end it there.
