Chapter 13: 'This feels much better than kissing the posters.'

Chapter 13 || Mareen's POV

Breathe. Common you've been through this. It happened to you about a week ago. Breathe.


'Um.. I asked if you girls were okay?' Zayn interrupted my fangirl thoughts. Sure, I've met Perrie (yesterday lol) but its not the same, she's here with her bandmates. In other words, (my two fav words. Besides One Direction or ice cream..) little mix.


'Uh yeah totally. A little blind by the lights but I'm okay.' I smile at Zayn and accidentally make eye contact with Jade and squeaked a bit on the inside.


'Oh so, I kind of heard that our birthday girl here likes Little Mix and the girls here had a day off so I figured I would invite them.' Zayn smiled with his tongue through his teeth. Oh my God that tongue is sexier than Liam. Wait what


'Oh it's okay with me.' Alex responded smiling like an idiot. I'm pretty sure Noelle is about to pass out and well, she looks really funny I should take a picture of her.


'Should I introduce the girls or..?' Perrie asked looking at us three, we had a really good time yesterday. She's really nice and i would kill to become her friend.


'Yes please.' Although we know all your middle names and where you were born and your fingerprints because that's completely normal.


'I'm Jade.' omg


'I'm Leigh-Anne.' omG


'I'm Jesy.' oMG


'And I'm Perrie.' OMG.


'And we're Little Mix.' can someone call the paramedics now because Noelle just fell down and hit herself on the head. Kidding but I know she was about to.


'Um. Nice to meet you.' REALLY NICE IT'S AN HONOR OKAY CAN I HAVE YOUR FACES ALL OF THEM PLEASE YOU'RE ALL FLAWLESS. 'She's Alex, She's Noelle and I'm Mareen.' I smiled, it probably came out a creepy stalkerish smile but I mean, they have to be used to that already.


'Nice to meet you all! You all have some lovely faces!' Jesy shouted making us all laugh and Leigh hit her on the arm. 'What?! It's true!' she squeaked.


'Anyways. Are we gonna ride the roller coasters or what?!' Louis asked running out of the place and disappearing into the wild. This boy I swear.




|| Alex's POV ||


I walked around the place lost. Because well, I got lost.


Shocker right?


No. You're wrong. I just really have never told this to anyone.. But.. I'm kind of afraid of roller coasters, in general. Literally. I can't even get on those caterpillar themed ones for little kids. I just run off screaming.


I searched for a spot that I would know by now, but I couldn't find one. How do you loose 11 people that fast?! I groaned sitting down on a random stool beside a cotton candy machine. I played with my hair before looking around my surroundings. A curly haired boy beside me.


'Harry?' I asked trying not to be that awkward as usual.


'Oh thank God! I found someone!' he laughed. tHE DIMPLE.


'Did you get lost too?' I asked the 19 year old.


'No... Yes.. Probably. Why? Did you get lost too?' he asked tucking a loose curly hair out of his face.


'Yeah... I really don't like roller coasters..' I laughed embarrassed.


'Really? I thought I was the only one! Well, besides my mother but she's just weird.' he laughed.


'Oh. I dare you to get in one.' I smiled deviously to the beautiful faced boy.


'Mm.. If you get in one with me too.' he smirked, but behind that smirk was a terrified little cupcake.


'Deal.' I winked getting up and making a line in the biggest roller coaster this park has.


Behind it all, I would've been more scared, even terrified. But I have Harry on my side, that makes me feel safe.

I grabbed his big hand, that makes mine look like an ant, and squeezed the life out of it. He smiled weakly at me while his face turned red. I laughed at his reaction but then realized I probably look worst than him right now.


'Don't worry babe, you're safe with me.' he smiled warmly and scooted over to me a bit more. His warmness is just so welcoming, so I wrapped my arms around his stomach.


Yes. I can feel his abs. No I'm not drooling.

Maybe.


'Hold on tight.' he smirked and just then the roller coaster started to run.






|| Harry's POV ||



I think I'm gonna pee myself.








|| Back to Alex's POV lol ||



'HARRY IT STOPPED! WHY DID THE THING STOP! WHY?!!?' I screamed to the poor guy in his face. The thing just stopped when we were on the highest point of it.


'I-I don't know Alex! I-I--'


'OMG HELP! HELP! SOMEONE HELP!!' I screamed to the top of my lungs so someone could help.



I had now noticed that we were the only ones here. We were stuck here, alone.



'Calm down Alex. Its going to be fine.' Harry tried to calm me down. My heart fluttered of the thought of him caring. That or he just doesn't like a 5"2' blonde girl screaming for her life in a big roller coaster. I'm going with the first one because it makes this moment special.



'It's not going to be okay, Harry. It never is.' I responded softly. He looked surprised of my sudden mood change. I was surprised too.





After being stuck for over 15 minutes, I felt my eyelids getting heavy. I took this opportunity to cuddle harder into Harry's chest, taking advantage of the situation, and falling asleep.

I felt someone move me waking me up of my cotton candy dreams. I fluttered my eyes open and saw a beautiful big dimpled face smiling towards mine.


'They fixed it.' Harry smiled at me.


'Okay.' I quickly responded sitting up again and stretching my muscles.


'Wait here. The worker wants to talk to me. He's giving us some free passes.' he spoke. I nodded and he left away to talk to the ginger haired boy.


I looked around my surroundings, it was already nighttime. How long were we stuck in this thing? I quickly looked back at Harry's seat and saw a familiar book. Curiosity took the best of me - again - and I opened it up.

Dear journal,


I couldn't have asked a better time to be in a roller coaster. Because I'm with her. She looked so funny freaking out, but it made her look cute. I'm glad I got lost and she did too. If not, she'd probably be with Louis. I'm thinking of telling her that she's beautiful today for her birthday, I don't know. I got her a present but I don't think it's correct to give it to her yet. Maybe I should just leave it there.


I got her a necklace that means a lot to me. I have one, the exact same one. The difference is that I engraved the letter H to hers. Just so she knows that she has my heart. I really really fancy her. It's so strange really. I've fancied people before but not like this. This time it's special. She's special.


I'm starring at her right now. The way her breathing is steady. How she looks like an angel asleep in my arms. Her soft hair scattered around my lap. I can't help but soften it out. She's just so beautiful, but she isn't mine. I just really want that to change.

I can officially say i'm Jade Thirwall's new best friend. Now you can bow down to my knees.


Okay no. Do that to Jesus.



But it's real though. She bought the necklaces and everything! It's a life commitment.


She even knows about my job. Well, this job. The one that, you know, I'm faking a relationship with a celebrity so he can forget about his last girlfriend and move on and then break his heart again because of a contract? Yeah, that one.


She told me it was cool, it was to pay my career. But what this is going to leave me is a bad reputation. I should have thought it through before signing the damn contract.


Beside from that, I was really worried. I haven't seen Noelle or Alex the whole day. And maybe Liam... But I'm not really worried about that.. Am I?



"You should, dummie." my mind speaks. I roll my eyes and keep walking with a small girl beside me.



'Hey, MareePoo. I need t' go find Jess and Leigh-Anne. I'll talk to ya' latah' okey?' her adorable Gordie accent showing. I responded with a simple okay and I wandered off.


I passed some random booths. Kissing booths, playing booths, eating booths (I should sign up Noelle in that so she'll stop eating my nuggets), but nothing else. I was bored so I spotted a ferris wheel and I quickly made a short line on it. In front of me were like 2 couples, with some really obvious PDA. I rolled my eyes but deep inside, I really wanted that.



After waiting in line for two more minutes, the guy started putting us in our seats. I was riding alone of course, or so I thought.



A tall guy ran to the line and quickly talked with the employee. He nodded and the guy was looking for a seat but there weren't any more. He looked at me and my stomach fluttered. It was Liam.



'Uh.. Hey.' he smiled.


'Hey.'


'Can I... Sit?' he asked nervously.


'Oh. Of course.' I tried my best to smile. He took a seat beside me. Our bodies were so close. Of course, this is made for couples.



The ferris wheel started running and I looked awkwardly down to the floor. I heard Liam clear his throat before he started a conversation.


'Look.. Sorry if we got on the wrong foot.' he tried to make eye contact with me but I looked away. 'I was in a really bad mood yesterday and I took it all on you. I shouldn't have done that. Do you think we could, start fresh?' he asked politely.



'Yeah.. Of course.' I quickly responded. I didn't even think before speaking, and I really should've done that.


'Okay. Hello, very nice to meet you. My name is Liam Payne.' he held a hand to me making me giggle. He was grinning like an idiot, a cute idiot.



'Hello. Nice to meet you too. My name is Mareen Roberts.' I handed him my hand, sparks shot through all my body. That was weird.

After having a polite conversation with Liam for about five minutes, we ran out of topic. I was staring out to the dark sky. I admired the full moon and the stars around it. I could feel Liam staring at me, burning my soul. Not literally, it's a metaphor or so I heard in English class.


'Beautiful isn't it?' I blurted out.


'Yes. A lot.' I couldn't help but think that he wasn't talking about the sky. That thought drove me crazy and made me blush. 'You know, I really love your eyes.. They uh.. Sparkle a lot in the moonlight.' he said a dorky line. Omg that's adorable.



'T-thanks.' I stuttered. WAY TO GO MAREEN NICE WAY TO FLIRT.


I made the mistake to face him and make eye contact. I literally got lost in his eyes. His caramel puppy eyes. The way he has crinkles by his eyes when he smiles. The way his mustache is very noticeable. His eyes look half broken, but half fixed. I wonder if they're broken because of his last girlfriend.


His face is literally the most perfect thing i've ever seen. His nose, everything.


I made another mistake.. I looked at his lips. Wow.



Perfect. Literally perfect. PER-FECT.


I got shot back to reality when I saw he was staring at my lips too. He looked at my lips and my eyes quickly. He was asking permission like a true gentleman. I quickly nodded and he crashed his lips into mine.


I was kissing him. KISSING HIM.


This feels much better than kissing the posters.



His soft lips moved agains mine. He cupped my cheek and pulled our faces together. A simple kiss like this drove me crazy. To think this was my first kiss. I couldn't ask for a better person to have it with. No tongue, no rude touching. Just a simple adorable kiss with a broken boy.



Until a pang of guilt washed through me.



'I-I can't do this..' I whispered still close to his face.



'W-why?' he asked. I could see his eyes water.



'B-because.. I... I was hired to... Be your girlfriend.' I quickly blurted out, my voice cracking.

HERE YA GO. okay so this was a long chapter wasn't it? Idk. Was it cute? Did u expect that? Yeah I know, there's a lot of Alex and Harry but these chapters were dedicated to her bc of her birthday! BUT THEY KISSED O M G ASDFGDJLS. there's going to be a big plot twist muahaha;) don't worry, it gets better by then. AND CLIFFHANGER !! I'm so mean.



Anyways. Now, I'm updating this story every thursday or every friday. In one of those two days okay? Every week. That's all!
