Asher was watching the tv when...
"Anong gingawa mo dyan?"
Her mommy asked
"Nanonood po ng tv."
Asher answered
"Aba! Maghanap ka na ng trabaho di yung puro hilata ka."
Said her mom
Asher furrowed her eyebrows
With so much confusion all she managed to say was
"Po?"
"Eh diba't may backpacking trip ka. Kailangan mo ng pera para dun."
Mommy Divine now smiling
"Pinapayagan mo na ako?"
Asher stood up
Divine nodded
"Basta mag iingat kayo ha. At wag ka lalayo kay Gian."
"Waaaaaaaaah!" Asher shrieked and went to hug her mom.
She wasn't contented that she lifted her mom a few inches away from the floor
They both laughed
"Sa isang condition ..."
Sarah's smile faded
"Ano po?"
"You use your own money. "
"Ah kaya niyo po ako pinapahanap ng trabaho?"
She frowned
"Yes my dear."
"Mommy naman..."
Sarah hugged her mom
"Anong trabaho?"
"Problema ko pa ba yun anak?"
"But why?"
"Anak, if you want to travel like an adult, then I might as well teach you an important lesson. A lesson every young adult must have. Masyado kasi kita bine-baby eh. Kaya ayan... ngayon lang tuloy kita natuturuan ng mga ganyan."
Sarah just sighed
"Meeeeee."
She's trying to win her mom's heart but to no avail
"Anak, God bestowed us with provisions. I know I've raised you to know that everything comes from Him - by His grace. This time I want you to learn the art of being a good steward of those provisions."
"May naipon naman po ako e. Dagdagan niyo na lang."
"No no. Kasi I won't always be here para kumpletuhin ang kulang sayo Asher. I want you to be your own woman now."
"Pinapalayas mo na ba ako dito sa bahay My?"
"Hahaha! Bebe naman. Hindi. Sa backpacking mo lang.. sa mga luho mo."
"Ah... hmmmmm. Sige po. Maghahanap kami ni Yanyan ng trabaho."
"Good girl."
"Thanks Mommy sa pagpayag. I love you."
She kissed her mother's cheek

Gian's at the gym, he's running on a treadmill.
His ears were covered with earphones.
He's listening to his favorite song

I know you could make my wish come true

He was humming and singing while heavily panting and running
Little did he know that the woman on the other treadmill from afar has been staring at him.
"Jess, what are you staring at?"
Her friend asked her
"You mean who?"
Jessy reiterated her question
"That hottie.."
she pointed at Gian who has now slowed down and by the looks of it, he's about to stop.
Gian was walking towards them
Jessy started to look away.
"Hello."
she heard him talk.
She smiled turned to Gian
"Hi."
She greeted him
Unfortunately though Gian wasn't talking to her
He was talking to someone on his phone
"Yanyan!!!! May good news ako."
Asher said on the other line.
Gian grinned upon hearing her voice
At least now she sounds happy
And whenever she's happy, so is he
"Pinayagan ka na?"
"Oo! Aaaaaaaaaaah!"
"Aray! Ang sakit sa tenga... o pano sinabi sayo ni Mommy?"
"Damn may gf pa ata."
Jessy commented.
She just looked at Gian who looked so happy while talking over the phone
"Sabi niya payag na daw siya kaso kailangan sarili ko daw pera gamitin ko."
Asher narrated
"Sabi sayo eh maghanap tayo ng trabaho."
Gian was all smiles. It's good to know that he has another excuse to be with Asher.
"San naman tayo mag ttrabaho?"
"Pag-usapan natin yan mamaya."
"Mamaya?"
"Oy Asher nakalimutan mo na, may rehearsal tayo. Kakanta tayo sa Kids' Church sa Sunday."
"Ay shocks! Onga pala. Di pa ako nakapag review ng songs."
"Hahaha! Ayan excited masyado."
"Hahaha! Ewan ko sayo. Asan ka ba ngayon?"
"Gym."
"Naks naman. May pinapa gwapuhan ka ata ngayon ah."
"Correction: gwapo na talaga ako."
"Hay nakooooooo. Spell feeling."
"E kesa gaya mo, payatot. Di kasi nag eexercise. Ang lakas naman kumain. Naku ... may bulate sa tiyan."
He heard Sarah's groan on the other line.
It made him laugh
"Gian Fernan humanda ka saken!"
"Hahaha! Wag ka masyado magalit tatalsik laway mo. Sige ka."
"Pangeeeeeet! Kulot! Kulot! Salot! Baboy!"
"Ahm. Noon yun, ngayon mala Machete na katawan nito."
Tawa lang ng tawa si Gian
He can almost imagine Asher's angry face
Bestfriends - that's all they'll ever be
he knows that
but somehow there is thia tiny bit hope that maybe .... just maybe she loves him back
Jessy on the other hand just looked at him
Astounded on how the person he's talking to can make him laugh like that
"Who could that be?"
She sadly asked herself
