I sigh, taking my phone out. I reply to a few texts and when I look up, Harry's staring at me.
"What?" I ask.
"Why aren't you eating?" He asks.
"I don't like it." I reply. "Do you want it?"
"No. You're not hungry?"
"Not really."
I am grabbed by my arms and spun around by someone.
Ethan.
"What are you doing?" He yells, causing everyone to look in our direction.
"What? I can't talk to people?" I spit.
"No!" He says. "Not if it's him!"
"Lay off!" I yell. "Now, let go of me!"
His grip doesn't loosen and he just seems to get more mad by the second.
"I will scream." I threaten.
"Go ahead!" He says. "I dare you. See what happens! Promise you'll stay away from him!"
"I'm not promising you anything."
"He hurt You!"
"It was an accident, Ethan!"
I jerk out of his hold but he grabs my wrists, making me wince. I scream and feel him get pried off of me. Tears start falling ad I rub my wrists, trying to ease the pain.
Someone puts their hand on my shoulder and I turn around to see Harry standing there, concern filling his eyes.
I break into sobs and slowly lean into him as he wraps his arms around me. I wrap my arms around his neck as I bury my face in his shoulder.
He's the closest one to go to for comfort. That's why I went to him, right? Being in his arms makes me feel safe, though. He's strong and my subconscious takes that he's one of my 'protectors'. Haha.
I'm not going back home, I can't.
I can't do it anymore.
Ethan's becoming just like mom and I can't stand it their anymore. As soon as I walk through my front doors, I'll get a beaten.
Maybe I'll go later tonight, whenever everybody's sleeping, to pack a bag or something..
But after that, I'm never looking back..
I pull back from Harry and grab my phone from the table. I don't bother cleaning up, I just run down the schools hall, to the front door.
I open the door, letting the cold air blast in my face. I go to the side of the building and lean against the wall, trying to rethink my plan..
My plan for escaping this hell hole.
I play tennis. And I have practice after school..
Damn.
Maybe I'll go after practice? Or just skip practice. Because, it makes it easier for Ethan to talk to me and hurt me again..
Then it's settled.
I'll leave right after school. Or maybe I'll just go now?
I hear the doors open and boots patting against the paving. Is it Ethan? If it is, I swear.. I'll punch him, I'll swing.
The mysterious person comes around the corner and I swing, but my fist is stopped. I look up to see those green eyes and immediately drop my fist, leaning against the wall.
I sigh as I slide down it. Harry looks at me with concern. Or is it worry? Either way, he shouldn't be worried or concerned for me..
He walks over and sits next to me.
