" Domino bitch " Rashad exclaimed

Cortez shook his head because that would make the third time he lost. He handed Rashad the dollar bill and stood up.

" Okay, I'm done " Tezz said

" Me too " Cortez nodded

" Oh y'all scared to lose the rest of y'all money " Rashad teased as Tezz smacked his lips

" Man we got to get to class. Somewhere you should be " Cortez said

They walked off and went to class.

Cortez was a freshman and Tezz was a sophomore so their classes were on different halls. They said bye to each other and Cortez headed to class.

He pulled out his phone and checked to see if his girlfriend, Karin, had texted him back yet.

Since she didn't he tried to shrug it off but it was bothering him.

When the bell rung and class was over everyone was meeting up for lunch.

" Yo, y'all seen Karin ? " Cortez asked

Benzie shook his head , Derrick shrugged, Tezz shook his head and Rashad was trying to talk to some girl.

" Dang " He mumbled

" Y'all always up each others asses " Tezz joked

" Shut up nigga. At least I got a girl "

Tezz threw his hands up " If I wanted a girl I could have one "

" Yo Derrick " Jamal called

" What's up " Derrick said

" You got a free pass? I gotta get out of forth period " Jamal said

" Five dollars " Derrick said

Jamal smacked his lips " Nigga for a pass you gone charge five dollars? "

Derrick nodded " Hell yeah. Give it up " The two traded and Jamal ran after some girl

" Nobody has seen Karin all day " Alezaa said sitting down with Miracle beside her

They all shook their heads. It wasn't like her and it didn't help that her girls didn't know where she was either.

" She never texted me " Miracle said sighing

Benzie looked at Alezaa with a expression of hurt and sadness. It was something off about everybody today but Cortez didn't know what it was.

He sighed and stood up. He decided he would call Karin. When he dialed her number no one answered.

Is she ignoring me , he thought

" Yo , Cortez you staying after school today ? " One of the people in class asked him

" Nah, I don't have to " He said
