I managed to move my chair to the kitchen in attempt to find something sharp to cut through my restraint and Veronica was stupid enough to leave a broken bottle on the floor.

I leaned as far as I could back and managed to cut the rope on the piece of glass.

As soon as my hands were free, I got to untying my feet and soon enough I was finally out of my restraints.

As soon as I stood and made my way for the door, I heard a gun cock and then came "going somewhere?"

I slowly turned around and there stood Veronica with her gun pointed at me.

I looked around for a distraction and I soon found it, without thinking twice I picked up the bottle throwing it in her direction, causing it to smash on the wall next to her.

As soon as she was distracted I made a run for her, and slammed her against the wall holding her by her throat, allowing her little breathing space. Her hands came up trying to free her neck from my iron grip, but she was making no progress.

Her eyes widened in fear and I couldn't help but smile knowing this one was ugly, and filled with unspoken promises.

Anger coursed through me, and I know I could easily snap her neck, but I decided against it because I already had another death on my hands, instead I just gave her a message.

"Don't you ever come near my family ever again, and don't you ever and I mean never try to threaten me again, or next time I won't hesitate to snap your neck."

I squeezed a little harder and she started going limp, "understood?" I asked, as I eased my hand on her neck, and she rasped a "Yes."
"Good."

With that I pulled away only to punch her into darkness. Her body fell limply to the ground and I walked away, closing the door behind me.

Jade held on to her mother tightly, as she sobbed into her mother's loving embraced.

She was washed over with so many emotions that all she could do was cry. Happy tears were mixed with that of sadness, anger, pain, but most of all relief.

Sarah rubbed Jade's back as she soothed her daughters cries, ignoring her own fresh fallen tears.

In all honesty, Sarah wanted to cry out too, she wanted to let it all go, but what she holds inside is what makes Sarah who she is, she refuses to let go of certain memories and emotions, because without them she would be weak, naïve, and simply defenseless.

She decided on holding on to her cries for when she was alone, but now she had to be strong, for Jade, Damien, and her unborn child.

Jade's cries finally died down, and they sat in a comfortable silence, munching on a few energy bars.

"Mom, is there something you're not telling me ?" Jade suddenly asked out of the blue.

Sarah breathed in slowly and let it out slowly, knowing that soon enough that question was going to be asked, but instead of answering, she tested her daughter's intelligence.

"What do you mean?" Sarah asked.
"I mean, is there something you're not telling me, growing up you and dad used to be talking on hush mode about your past together, and mentioning some people I have never met such as Tyler and Veronica. Soon enough I get kidnapped, when I managed to escape ironically I find you here too, so can you please tell me what is going on. Mom please, I have hardly asked you for anything, so please just tell me this once, what is going on, I at least deserve that." Said Jade ready and fed up with people keeping things from her.
"You're right, you deserve to know, but that I means I'll have to start from the beginning." Explained Sarah.
