Hello! This is for anyone who loves and treasures this band.
Imagine: The Doctor took you back in time to meet The Beatles
"So, where do you want to go?" Asked the tall, thin man you had grown to know well over the past year and a half. You had become quite good friends since then, you ate almost every meal together, shared the same home and both happened to travel through time and space.
You also knew a lot of things about him. Just simple facts, you know. Nothing big. You knew his favourite colour was red, he loved to read books on Russian history and he was into blonds. Which was easy to tell from the collage of photos of himself and a pretty looking blond girl which was currently stuck on his bedroom door. You had never been inside his room, well... you had never been in his room when he was in it. You happened to walk past it one day, when the door was flung open. And... you get the idea.
"Well, there is somewhere I have been meaning to ask you to go for a while." You said, tucking your (h/c) hair behind your ear. He raised an eyebrow.
"And where is that?"
"Ever since I was little I have been obsessed with this band. But the band had broken up years before I was even born, so I was never able to see them live." You rambled on.
"Yes..."
"And I was wondering if you could take me to see the band."
"The band is?" The Doctor asked, you had been so caught up in your memories that you had forgotten to mention the name of the band.
"Right. Yes. The Beatles." You answered, "You know, sixties, one of the greatest bands of all time."
"Yes, I think I know who The Beatles are." He said, with a smile. He started to play with the switches and leavers on the control panel of the Tardis. You hurried over to him.
"Can we go?" You asked eagerly. Ever since you had learnt that the Tardis could travel through time you had been dying to see The Beatles. They had been your favourite band since you were six. Your dad played their music around the house all the time. He used to teach you all the lyrics. Every Sunday morning, he would get up and make you pancakes and while he was doing it, he played their music. You remember singing along every morning. Twist and shout... You could still hear their music now.
"Of course." He said, and you threw your arms around him. "Whoa, whoa. Calm down, (y/n)."
"How am I supposed to calm down?" You ranted. "I have been dreaming of this for the past year and a half."
The Doctor smiled and pulled the last leaver on the Tardis and it spun into motion. It threw you all around the control room, then it came to a stop. You felt you heart skip a beat, "Is this it?" You asked. The Doctor nodded and grabbed your hand. You felt your fingers intertwine as he pulled you towards the door. He threw it open and stepped through the door.
You were standing outside a theatre in London. The sign above the doors read 'The Beatles'. You couldn't believe it, you were about to see The Beatles live! The Doctor led you towards the door. The massive line didn't seem to faze him, he just walked straight up to the security guard standing at the door. You tugged at his sleeve, "Don't we have to get tickets?" you asked.
"They'll be sold out." He said, he didn't seem to care. You felt your heart drop. "But I don't think that matters." The doctor said. You glanced up at him with a confused look.
"Why not? We need a ticket to get in." You Questioned.
"You'll see." was all he said. When he reached the security guard, he tapped his shoulder. A tough looking guy turned around.
"What?" he said rudely.
"Um, would you be able to tell the band--John specifically--that The Doctor is here."
"I can't do that." Stated the security guard as he turned back around.
"Look, just get someone to tell them and then If they still don't want to see me then we'll leave." the guard turned back around.
"Fine." The guard singled a middle aged woman over. He whispered something to her, she nodded her head and walked away. The guard looked back at them, "Wait here."
"Doctor? What's going on?" You asked, something was up and you wanted to find out what it was.
"Be patient and you'll see." was all he said.
When the woman came back she spoke to the security guard. He turned to The Doctor, he had a surprised look on his face. "Well I'll be damned." He waved you and The Doctor through. The woman led you and The Doctor to a room, asking multiple questions on the way. "Here you go." She said as she opened the door. Your hand was still intertwined with the doctors. He led you through the door.
When you saw who was inside, you almost fainted. Inside, were the very people who had influenced everything you had done in your childhood. They still influenced you. "Oh my god." You mumbled and looked up at The Doctor. He was looking down at you with a giant smile plastered on his face. He squeezed your hand.
"Doctor." Said John Lennon, and you immediately snapped your head back to look at him. John Lennon, was walking towards The Doctor and you. Not a John Lennon wanna-be. The actual John Lennon. "It's been a while."
"It has." Said The Doctor. John gave The Doctor a hug and then turned to look at you.
"Who's this?" He asked with a smile on his face.
"I- I'm... uh," you just couldn't get the words out, your brain was out of control.
"This is my friend, (y/n)." The Doctor said for you.
"Ah well. It's nice to meet you (y/n)." John said, he reached his hand out toward you and you shakily took it. Then he lifted both your hands to his mouth and kissed it. John Lennon just kissed your hand!
"Likewise." You managed to say without sounding like a stuttering idiot.
"Well Doctor, it was nice to see you again." He said. "But the boys and I have to go on stage in a couple minutes. If you see my friend Louise out there, she can set you up to watch the show from the side of the stage."
"Yeah, we'll do that." The Doctor said.
"Do you want to hang out after the show? You and your friend." John asked, nodding at you.
"That'll be great."
John smiled. "Alright. See you soon." He motioned to the other Beatles and they got out of their seats and walked towards the door, greeting you as they passed. When they left, you turned towards your friend who was so full of surprises.
"How in this world do you know John Lennon?" You asked him with the largest smile on your face. He smiled back.
"I may have saved his life once." He admitted. You shook your head and you both headed out the door to find Louise.
------During the Show---------
You were standing on the side of the stage, leaning your head on top of The Doctor's shoulder. The Beatles were currently in the middle of I wanna hold your hand. One of your favourite songs. This was the best day you had ever had.
"You're amazing you know that?" You said not taking your eyes off the group.
"I know." You both stood there, the music taking over your bodies.
