Here is the part two to my last imagine requested by whimzy6.
IMPORTANT A/N AT THE BOTTOM PLEASE READ
Just to refresh your memories here is the request again: Hey, I was wondering if you could do one where the reader gets separated from the doctor. Hopefully 10 please. But the longer it takes for them to find each other the more worried they get and the more they realize how much they love each other.
And just FIY, The Doctor's POV is in 3rd person and your POV is in 2nd person.
------ Doctor's POV ------
The Doctor crept through the door into the cell rooms. Cells lined the left side of the room, leaving only a big enough hallway for a Dalek to get through. The Doctor stepped lightly as he walked down the hall, uncertain of what was in front of him.
Cell after cell was empty, he started to worry as he got closer to the end of the hall. What if she wasn't in here? What if they had exterminated her straight away? A sick feeling formed in The Doctor's stomach, he couldn't let anything happen to her.
He wouldn't.
The Doctor stopped when he got to the last cell. Just standing outside, was a Dalek, guarding whoever was inside. If (Y/N) was going to be in any cell, it would be this one. The Doctor silently tip toed closer, trying to get a peek inside.
The cell was empty. She wasn't in there.
The Doctor looked around the cell, everything seemed normal besides the vent door, which was open and sitting inside the vent.
Bingo.
The Doctor allowed himself to smile before creeping off down the hall again. But before he could get any further, he found himself face down on the floor. He could hear the sound of the Dalek turning around, the sound of it moving it's eyestalk down to look at him and then the sound of it's cry.
"EX-TER-MIN-ATE!"
The Doctor pulled himself of the ground and without looking back, ran down the hall, the Dalek's beams flying after him.
------ (Y/N) POV ------
The vents creaked under the weight of your knees. You'd been doing this for an hour or more and it was really getting on your nerves. You just wanted to get out and stretch your legs.
The hardest thing wasn't the crawling and the stuffiness of the vent. The hardest thing was trying not to think about The Doctor. And you were failing.
Every now and again you would find your mind straying and thinking about him and you hated it. It hurt too much to think about him, where he was or if he was in danger. And every time one of those thoughts popped into your head, it felt like a searing hot blade was being plunged into your stomach. It felt like fire coursing through your veins and burning your every last nerve.
But it also filled you with a kind of joy when you thought about him or his warm brown eyes or his ability to make you laugh. It made you feel more and smile more and laugh more and it made you crawl faster. Because you knew it would bring you closer to being with him.
You pushed your legs faster, your knees scraping across the metal floor. You could see another vent door looming ahead, just in reach.
When you got there you lifted the door out of the vent and peaked your head out, it was another empty white hallway. You put your legs through first and slid down, you let go and dropped to the floor with a thud.
You started off down the hallway without a look behind you.
------ Doctor's POV ------
The Doctor's feet pounded on the clean floor beneath him. He had been running around for a while now and still hadn't found her. His heart was beating rapidly, and it wasn't just from the running. It was because of her.
This had never happened to him before, he had always been so careful, always kept his wall up.
But she had torn it down. And it felt like it was never going to go back up again, at least not while she was around.
If he could just find her then his heart would slow down and he would be able to breathe again. That was all he wanted to do.
He turned the corner, his heart almost leaping out of his chest. That was when he saw her. Just a swirl of hair as she ran around the curve.
"(Y/N)!" He screamed as loud as he could. He saw her stop and then turn around. Her eyes widened as she saw him and her legs started to move towards him.
"Doctor!" She said. She threw her arms around him, pulling him towards her. He hugged her back, as tight as he could. Then she drew back so she could see those eyes she had been hanging to see since they we separated.
That's when he did it. He leaned in, and placed his lips gently on hers but it was her who deepened the kiss. They didn't need to say what they were thinking, the kiss had already told them. It was full of everything they felt: love, relief and passion.
The sound of The Dalek's came from around the corner and she pulled away. "You know I love this and what just happened but maybe less kissing and more running for the moment."
They ran, but this time hand in hand.
