Flashback to lunch the previous day

"Seriously, Jim, there is no way I am running for student council," Sting says as his friend pushes him toward the sign up sheet.

"Give me your hand, " Jim says as he slaps a pen in Sting's hand, "Okay, let's write, what's your real name again?"

"Gordon Sumner, " Sting huffs.

"That's right, okay, go. G-O-R-D-O-N."

"I know how to spell my own friggin' name Jim!" Sting snaps as he writing his name on the sheet, and he nows begins questioning his sanity.

"My friend, I didn't know you had it in you!" Jim laughs.

"Happy? It's not like I'll be elected!"

" I, for one am proud of you, it takes all kinds to make this school go." Roger Waters interrupts.

Present Day

"Okay, it is time announce the new student council members!" the Principal says, "For freshmen, Bono and Stevie Nicks!" as he says this, there is all around cheering from the freshman. "For the sophomores, David Bowie, and, um, Sting," which results in mixed looks of cheers and confusion, "For the juniors, Bob Dylan and John Lennon," which
leads to, again, unanimous cheers except for a grumbling Mick Jagger, "And finally, the School Historian is Ray Davies, Treasurer is John Bonham, for secretary, Peter Gabriel, Vice President is Freddie Mercury, and President, is Roger-, " and Roger Waters stands up, acceptance speech in hand, "Daltrey," and laughter emits from the entire school, as everyone knows he is getting into trouble right now with Keith Moon and Keith Richards, except for Roger Waters, who is currently infuriated, " just kidding, Roger Waters."

"That is, under no definition of the word funny, funny!" Roger Waters yells.

"Quiet, before he revokes your election Waters! " David Gilmour shouts from across the auditorium.

Roger Waters, after pulling himself together, walks out to the stage and begins giving his speech.

"Were we supposed to have speeches prepared?" Freddie asks David Bowie.

"No, that's why Roger currently looks like an idiot try-hard," he replies.

"-and I am so grateful to all of you for giving me this splendid-" Roger emotes as the principle interrupts him with,

"Just tell everyone when the next meeting is!"

"Uh, tomorrow right after school."

At this point, the entire school is laughing, and Roger feels like he has totally lost the grip over the school that he usually very easily possesses. Most of the elected members make sense, and everyone is proud of them, but no one had a clue it was even possible for Sting to be on any sort of council. Nevertheless, the general consensus is curiousity at how this whole year is going to go down.
