There is a darkness behind every truth,
I see evil slipping through.
I tried to ignore it but now it's all I see,
Is this the person you truly wish to be?

You scare me sometimes, I'm not gonna lie,
I'm even scared of what you'll do if I tell you goodbye.
This ice cold fear runs through me like blood,
I wonder if you would hit me, but I know you could.

I wouldn't be too shocked if you did,
I see it in your eyes when your angry or upset.
It's like all of a sudden you popped off a lid,
And your true feelings are coming alive.

I try to run and hide when you are angry at me,
I think it's your words that scare me the most.
That evil smile you get when your threatening me,
It's like you would enjoy to hurt me.

Maybe I should run while I still got time,
Before any damage has been done.
But what if these are all the wrong signs,
