CHAPTER 2 FILLER

HELLO and welcome to filler number two!!

Here is the part from chapter 2 that Brin and I are discussing (among other things) so that you have a bit of a refresher before reading our chat conversation:

"Dan. Now you're gonna give me an existential crisis," I tell him. "I mean I completely agree, but is it alright if we move on to a topic that's a bit lighter?"

"Yeah, I suppose we can," he says. "Okay, I've got it. Why don't we talk about places we'd like to go? No existentiality has to be mentioned, just plain and simple travel locations," Dan suggests.

"Oh! I've got one," I say, smiling. "I know it's not likely, but I wish I could go to space and look down at the Earth from above."

"Isn't this similar to the conversation we had last year that made me want to lie down on the pavement?" Dan reminds me.

"Oops," I say guiltily. "I suppose I'll stop talking about space, sorry. Where do you want to go?" Again there is a pause of a few seconds before he answers.

"I know this might sound a bit cliche," he prefaces. "But instead of saying something like Japan or Australia, I'd like to go to America." He pauses and I wait for him to continue. "I know we've been there a few times for things like PlayList and VidCon, but I want to go for ourselves. You know? I want to go and get to experience what it's like to wake up late, roll down the windows, and simply drive.. or whatever tourists do in America...."

"I get it," I say. "You want to visit America as Dan, not as danisnotonfire."

"Yeah," he replies softly. "Just Dan."

"We could go," I suggest, looking up at his blurry figure. I can't read his facial expression and I don't know if he is purposely hiding it from me or simply doesn't know how to respond.

N: Hello, smol one

B: hello, older one (I was going to say toll one but I'm pretty sure we're the same height)

N: ):

N: umm,, have you seen that app that does that bc it's creepy AF

B: no 0.0 I feel like I don't want to

N: you don't..

B: we could do chapter four as Phil's pov of *SPOILER FROM CHAPTER FOUR* and then chapter five as *SPOILER FROM CHAPTER FIVE*

N: mkay and am i writing the lead up to the *SPOILER FROM CHAPTER THREE* to get extra words in

B: mkay great

N: that was a question but okay *laugh/cry emoji*

B: oh lol whoops. *nervous laugh/cry emoji* Yeah you can do that

N: okey and they are about to "talk" or smthn so do I have them do 20 Qs or will you provide me w a subject for them to discuss

B: tHEY SHOULD DISCUSS DREAM VACATIONS AND THEN DAN IS LIKE "let's do it before.." and Phil is like "!!!!"

N: *was really hoping you were gonna say "tHEY SHOULD DISCUSS SPACE" but I mean okay bc i /guess/ that would help the plot a bit more than space...

B: well I mean they could be discussing space and then "hey I want to go to space" "hey I want to go to *dream location*

N: yAY SPACE (they talked about space in the prologue but that's okay)

B: of course they do smh you're a nerd :)

N: SPACESTAMPSSPACESTAMPSSPACESTAMPS

N: now, on a more serius (well that's not right) note, where shall they go??

B: umm.. Japan? or somewhere new?

N: idk anything about japan (well i mean obviously ik stuff about japan but idk enough to /write/ about a trip to japan

B: tHEY SHOULD GO TO TEXAS. There are plenty of creepy people here for the whole kidnapping plot too

N: I mean i'm down for them going to Bandera TX (the cowboy capital of the world btw)

B: OK better. ANYWAYS, They could just go on a US trip

N: bahahaha, yes bc who just goes to texas as a dream vacation (please don't hurt me)

B:*insert laughing/crying emoji* no seriously though I mean we have cows and Dr Pepper and Ted Cruz but that's it's

N: meanwhile we've got PHILadelphia

B: You've got history^2 man that's cool

N: *needs to study for my history final *upside down smiley face emoji**

B: *needs to study for all my finals tomorrow but no* *you should go study I guess idk or you could stay here*

N: *but i should also finish this chapter (OMG I"M CHOKING BUT NOT RELALY JUST COUGHING ILL BE BACK IM GETING A DRINK)*

B: DONT DIE OMG

N: okay, i got lemonade and also a banana... *bites banana*... im gonna go see if my mom wants this banana bc i dont like it

B: poor banana.. it's just like that Apple from earlier *waits*

N: i threw out the banana... i had to go outside to find my mom and it was cooler out there than inside the house smh

B: smh..

N: shall I finish this chapter??

B: yes you shall. I will lurk back later (text me)

N: i thought you were gonna say you were gonna lurk and just watch *cry/laugh emoji*

B: that sounds very creepy out of context *cry/laugh emoji*

N: okay, go study @smol one and I shall write and text you once I "finish" so you can read through and edit ((:
