It became too much for him, the constant angry silence between his parents, the way his little brother would cry for him to stay when he would leave for school.

The silence became all too deafening. So Josh grabbed his things, threw them into his old raggedy bag, and slung it over his shoulder lazily. He didn't want to do this, he didn't have a choice.

Everyone had became far too much for him to deal with. He felt sorry for leaving his younger siblings but if he didn't leave, he wouldn't be able to go any longer.

But the one thing that tore him to bits, was leaving his drumset behind. Ever since he stopped playing trumpet to pursue percussion, he had never been happier than when he was banging on those drums of his.

Yet again, here he was leaving everything that meant at least something to him. Though it tore him apart, he knew it was the right thing to do.

So he snuck out, climbing out the back door, before running out to his motorcycle. A few tears clouded his eyes as he slipped his helmet on and drove away.

And like that, he was gone.

He was a runaway.
