"The Kabaneri who becomes a Nue loses their soul and their life," Biba's apprentice replied, "Except for you Yuki, you are able to call your Nue state given a significant life impact happens to you and triggers your emotions."

"I guess Biba gave you false information there," you replied, "I can easily access my Nue state if I so desire, I have trouble fighting the urges of turning unless I have the blood of a Kabaneri."

"Then will you use your power to help the on you love?" he asked.

"Back then, I probably wouldn't have cared for Ikoma like I do now, but now, I will sacrifice anything to make sure that his goals are fulfilled," you replied as you turned to see Ikoma new appearance. His once messy greenish-blond hair is now swept back, with   his hair partially turns white covering one side of his face. His right arm taking the form of his weapon.

"Give that to me," he demanded. 

Your eyes widen at his change of attitude and in some ways you found it very attractive.

"Not that one," he replied.

Your eyes swifted to the types of blood he was talking about to see that he was talking about using the black blood.

"What! The Black Blood is an accelerant, it will stimulate the virus and amplify it."

"Just like the other Kabaneri," Ikoma replied.

"Do you mean, Horobi?" the man asked.

You cringed at the sound of that name and glared towards the ocean out of anger and pure hatred. Just the utterance of her name, sends you off the roof and urges you to kill.

"That's right."

"But you won't become a Nue because you're a man," the apprentice confirmed, "You'll just be a Kabane burning through his life force."

"What about Hikari, he was a Nue-"

"Hikari and I are considered anomalies, when Biba saw me shred Horobi and you saw Hikari transform into a giant Kabaneri, it wasn't normal" you replied.

"I need that power," Ikoma muttered.

"It will be brief, like the last light of a dying candle," the guy replied with a smug grin on his face.

You sighed knowing that there wasn't any way to change Ikoma's mind from this and began to walk off away from the group and avoid witnessing his transformation. 

"Yuki!" Ikoma called out to you, "YUKI!"

You ignored his calls and continued to walk away from him until you felt your body be held against your will into the embrace of Ikoma's chest. With all these feelings you now realized you  had for Ikoma, they were becoming visible. Your blush grow deeper as you saw his arm around you.

"Yuki..."

You looked up towards him to see he had a smirk on his lips but his eyes held the truest feelings you both knew you had for each other, love.

"I will come back to you, I will not die," he replied. 

"You know the side effects of the blood and you are still going to put yourself in danger and basically commit suic-" You were cut off when his lips touched yours in a gentle and sweet kiss. It was long, and it felt like eternity.

You both pulled away and looked at each other as he smiled and pressed his lips against the top of your forehead.

"I want you to not come with me on this mission," Ikoma muttered.

"You know that I am not going to do that," you growled, "You think by taking the black blood and with your new look you can stop me from my plans-"

"I know with the power I have, I can protect you from Biba,"

"Then what happens after Ikoma!" you yelled while tears were streaming down your face unil you felt Ikoma pull yu closer towards him.

"I am not going to die Yuki," Ikoma replied.

"How can you be so sure?" you muttered as your head lowered until you felt your body be turned around and forced to look into his eyes.

"Because I have to fulfill Hikari's wish, to have a family with you," Ikoma replied while kissing his forehead against your with a small smile.

"Well if you want us to become a family then we need to start with having family values," you replied with a wide smile, "if we are going to be a family, then you need to know that with family we always stick together and  nobody gets left behind."
