My mind is like a demon
Whisperer of untold woe
Ruins sleep
And protrudes sorrow
My mind is like a cloud
Empty and fake
Liar of logic
A mentality break
My mind is like a prison
Of which I can’t break free
The walls of my humanity
Stare at me, trap me
My mind is like a symphony
The rhythmic thoughts
The dynamic constant melody
A song contorts
My mind is like the rain
Thoughts fall throughout
Then an idea forms
Breaking the mental drought
My mind is like a museum
Of memories, dusty and old
It is decrepit and silent
As if captured by cold
My mind is like myself
It shows my true identity
Then, if it is me
Why do I yearn to be free?
