I hadn't realized I had fallen asleep until my door opened with a loud banging, and I jump- waking myself up.

"Cora!" Lavender had yelled as she pushed the door open. "Danny?!" She added as she saw him laying on the bed. He didn't wake, only turned his head away from Lavender and cuddled in again.

"Shhh!" I hushed quickly, with a small smile.

"What happened?" She whispered as she took in the sight of the caked up blood everywhere.

"I don't know. I woke up last night and he was covered in blood, sitting in the hallway, I don't know where the blood is from-"

"I do." She nodded. "That's why I ran up here, I woke up and went for a cup of water, and there was blood and guts everywhere, I followed the trail of blood and there was a dead deer outside. It looked like a wolf ate it, but- but... He must have brought some in with him... It was all over the counter, like- like he was eating it as a human, there were hand prints all over a glass of water too..." She looked sick, and worried, and I felt just the same. I didn't know what that meant, we all hunted when we were wolf, but we never brought it home, we always cleaned our muzzles in the streams, and we never eat like a wolf when we're human. If he had changed into a wolf last minute last night that would make sense, it's been a long time since his wolf could be let out. He had to have done it near the house in his weakness, that's probably why the deer is so close to the house, he may have even caught it in the field we practice in.

"I didn't get to talk to him. He seems... scared. Get Frea and Owen, Frea needs to check on him, and Owen may be able to cheer him up..." I sigh. I touch his hair again.

"Yes, ma'am." She nods and leaves quickly towards her room. I hear them speak quickly, anxiously, excitedly, from down the hall. Then they're rushing down the hallway towards us.

Danny stirs and I watch as his eyes blink open.

"Is he really awake?" Owen asks happily.

I nod, with a smile, but that's when Danny starts to growl. "You're okay Danny, you've been asleep for a while..." I say calmly. He doesn't respond, he only growls louder, and turns his face towards them. That's when I notice his eyes are all black again. He's losing control. He's bearing his teeth.

"Get away from her-"

"What?" Owen chuckles, but Danny lets out a full growl, a warning growl.

"I said don't come near us- do you understand- don't come near us!" Danny is on his feet faster than I can stop him, and he's pushing Owen out of the room, Frea retreating before she could get shoved.

"Get Away!" Danny growls again.

"Danny- stop it!" I say quickly, and when I touch his shoulder he pulls back from Owen and puts a protective arm around me as he holds me away from the three confused family members in the hallway. "Danny are you okay?" I ask, he's still growling. "Frea, get the medical supplies ready. Owen, get Dylan-"

"Danny what's wrong with you?" Lavender speaks up, but Danny only growls again as he looks down at the ground away from her.

"Lavender get your sisters to help you clean up downstairs."

"Yes Luna." She says agitated, wanting to find out what was wrong was as evidently on her mind as it was my own. They all leave, and I step in front of Danny, and grab his face. He's still growing, and when his eyes finally looks up at me his eyes are fully black.

"Danny... Daniel are you okay? Do you know what's going on?" I ask. He nods, but doesn't speak. "You were in a coma for a few months. Do you remember why? The day before?" He nods.
