I can't believe Daniel agreed to have a bonfire tonight. We've been so stressed, and new recruits came flooding in this morning. Sometime after breakfast he gets a call, and without asking me he agrees to hold a changing here tonight.

"Have you seen Lavender?" Violet asks me, her other sister in tow as I rush around.

"No, she ran off somewhere with that Kaylee girl- if you see her, tell her she needs to help in the kitchen." I tell them.

This cub changing tonight is the last thing we need, but here we are- having a bonfire. It's in full swing, and I'm running around like a chicken with her head cut off, and I can't find Danny anywhere.

"Alright." Violet nods.

"Where's brother-"

"He's busy with the trainees right now, go help with the babies." I tell Rosie, as I shoo them away.

"Yes Luna!" The girls say as they run off, looking for him. I'm assuming he's helping with training, at least that's where I hope he is, but I'm not entirely sure. I haven't seen him since this morning, when he told me not to worry about the preparations- but then disappeared as everyone else started putting things together. So of course I'm helping. I'm Luna.

"Cora, Greg is going to be here any minute-"

"He better behave, Winny..." I say, nervously. She shifts Chandler onto her other hip.

"He just wants to see what Chan's family is like, and Dylan said it would be a good idea, if he's going to allow him around her."

"It is, just watch him, okay. I don't want anyone telling him what's going on tonight, after he leaves. I'm just glad you guys are working it out," I say as I rub Chan's back.

"He really wants to make it work for her, and he promises Wyatt won't stay." Winny says.

"The boy needs his own car." I tell her, seriously, because Greg really needs to step up. Besides, it would relieve some stress knowing Wyatt doesn't have to get anywhere bra here.

"Baby steps, Luna-" Winny say with a chuckle, "-You just have to remember we were all friends at one point, right?" She smiles meekly, and I nod, and hug the both of them. We have to make this work- for her, Chan, and even Freddie; he would want us all to get along.

"I know, just make sure he's out of here well before the moon falls," I say, and she nods.

"I have to go find Dyl, Danny is looking for him." She says as she waves, and walks towards the scout house. I sigh, and rub my stomach, because the babies feel like they're dancing. The drums have just started, and the music is picking up, as my family runs about me, and I think the babies can sense it. The breeze rustles through the trees above, and as leaves shed themselves free of their limbs I remember the day I changed for the first time. I remember meeting Danny, seeing him for the first time, on a night that smells just like this one... A mixture of the smell of cinders in the fire, and the salty breeze coming from the distant ocean shores, and the trees softly sighing.

I look across the party and see him, finally. It was as if I knew he'd be there. With older features he talks the same way he did when I first saw him grown up, my brother and Sam beside him just the same. Seeing him gives me relief, and I feel like I can breath, knowing he's there.

I scan the crowd, looking for Alice, because I can't seem to find her, and I needed her help finding the birthday girl- which makes me a terrible Luna, because I'm not even sure who it is. I scan the crowd, searching everyone's faces in the dim light- a mixture of the still setting sun, and the white string lights and lanterns hung in the trees- which prove to be no help in the twilight.
