Ten

In the morning, I found myself lying next to Mark. It seemed a little strange since I didn't remember getting in bed with him, but I didn't question it all that much when his eyes met mine.

"Good morning, sexy," he grinned.

"Sexy? You've never called me that before," I realized, slightly surprised by his remark.

"Well, that's overdue, then. I call it like I see it," he told me. With one swift transition I was suddenly on my back, lying underneath him.

"We're not alone anymore, ya know," I reminded him as I gazed up at his wonderfully sculpted body hovering above me.

"The door's still locked, just like it always has been while we sleep even before they got here. Nobody's going to come in and interrupt us." He began kissing my neck and it was hard for me to not get distracted when I responded.

"What if they hear us?" I asked.

"They're not in the rooms right next to us, so it should be fine. Just try not to scream too loudly."

I pressed my lips roughly against his as he pushed his hands underneath my shirt, and everything escalated quickly from there. We practically tore each other's clothes off, sneaking kisses in between the removal of each article of clothing until we both were completely naked and taking in the view of each other's bodies. He was all I wanted and I didn't want to wait any longer. I knew I was ready for this, and Mark was too. He was just about to push himself into me and end the suspense when he spoke.

"Wake up, sleepy head." Wait, what? I was awake...I had to be. I could feel his hot skin and soft lips...

"Good morning," Mark said once I opened my eyes. I now felt his hands grabbing my arms - he must have been shaking me a bit to get me to wake up. I was in my own bed and instead of him lying next to me, he was crouched beside me. It had all only been a dream - a very, very vivid one.

"You must have been having an interesting dream. It took a while for me to wake you," he told me, pushing his hair out of his face. It was wet, as if he had just showered recently.

"Yeah, sorry. I was dreaming," I admitted.

"Were you dreaming about me?" He raised his eyebrows and I felt blood rush to my cheeks as I lied and said no.

"Everyone else is up already. Bob, Wade and I showered and Molly and Mandy are going in there now. I figured you might want to get up and start getting ready so we can head out." Right. We were going into town to get more supplies and weapons for everyone.

"Yeah, I better get a shower in." I grabbed clothes and headed for the bathroom. The warm shower water woke me up more, and once I was dressed and my hair was dry, I was ready to head out.

Mark and I grabbed out backpacks and we all piled into our cars. I drove Jeff and led the way into town with the others following close behind. With nobody else on the road, it was practically impossible for them to get lost or behind.

We stopped at the weapon shop first, just in case we were to run into an zombies during our trip. Bob and Wade seemed excited to pick their poison there. Mandy and Molly, on the other hand, looked like lost children in the store. Neither of them appeared to want much to do with the extra defense. While the guys were huddled together at one end of the building, the girls joined me on the other.

"Neither of us are all that experienced with anything like this," Mandy explained.

"Yeah, is there anything you'd suggest?" Molly wondered.
