Chapter 15

We walked out of the mall and to Heavens car. He still had us under threat so we could not do anything. He made us drive back to the house and get out like nothing happened. He made us promise not to tell. These was his exact words
"If you tell I will slit your throats so promise me you will not." Now we was standing in the living room trying to not act weird. I went up stairs and put some clean clothes on then came back down. When I hit the last step the door bell rung. I thought about answering it but something told me not to. It rung again being impatient. Jordan came and answered it. I looked around him to see know one there. Instead there was a box sitting on the porch. He picked it up and read the name then turned to me.
"It is for you from someone named Ghost. Do you know a Ghost?"
"Um yeah I know a Ghost." He handed me the package and walked off. I went to the couch to open it. I slowly opened the lid and looked inside. I nearly passed out there was a heart in there. A real live human heart with a note attached
I would rip me heart out for you

I closed it and set back on the couch. Who ever this Ghost guy was he was starting to freak me out. Should I tell someone? No I should not cause then I would never have privacy again. But who sends someone a human heart? And who was he? I guess I would get answers sooner or later. But first I had to figure out how to get rid of this heart. I looked around the back yard but that would not be a good idea. Know where by the house would be good either. So I took it out to the woods. I did not  tell anyone where I was going I just left.

I walked for a really long time. Then I finally came to a creek. I decided to dump the heart in there. I watched as it washed down stream. By the time I had made my way back it was starting to get dark. I threw the box away as I passed the trash can. When I walked through the door everyone turned and looked at me. I froze in place wondering what I had did wrong.
"Where was you?" It was Rebel's mom to speak first.
"I went for a walk."
"And where did you go for this walk?" Her voice was slightly growing louder.
"I w-went in t-the woods."
"YOU WENT INTO THE WOODS BY YOURSELF WITH OUT ANY PROTECTION." I flinched and back away as she yelled at me. She continued to yell but I was not listening. I was thinking about all the times my dad had yelled at me. I felt my eyes start to sting as I tried to hold the tears back. I wanted to say something but I was to scared to and that is when I heard his voice. It was not very strong but it was there. I turned towards the stairs to see Rebel standing there.
"Mom I need to talk to you."
"Rebel honey your suppose to be in bed."
"I know but I need to talk to you."
"Ok honey I will be up there in a minute go lay back down."
"Oh and Ashley needs to come to." He left and went back to the room they had him in. His mom turned back to me and waved for me to follow.

We walked into the room and waited for him to get settled. He scouted over and patted for me to come set down. I shook my head no but his mom gave me a small nudged so I did. When I set down he started playing with my hair. Which was kinda weird.
"So son you wanted to ask a question."
"Oh yeah I was-."
"REBEL!"
