6. Happiness

Me and Jeremy had arrived in Denver about an hour ago and I convinced Jeremy that we should just get an apartment because I didn't want to stay with our relatives

Right now me and Jeremy were at the park trying to meet new people when a person 'accidentally' bumped into Jeremy

"Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going" Jeremy said and I looked up to see Kol of course

"It's alright mate. I'm Kol by the way" he smirked

"Jeremy and this is my sister Jasmine" Jeremy said motioning towards me

"Pleasure" Kol smirked at me and I rolled my eyes

"Jeremy I'm gonna go meet other people" I said walking away

After awhile I just sat on a bench waiting for Jeremy to stop talking to Kol

I was on my phone when someone sat next to me I looked up and saw Kol and he was glaring at someone in front of me I looked up and saw a couple guys and I looked back at Kol

"What's your problem?" I asked

"Those guys were staring at you" he said with disgust in his voice

"Aw does someone care?" I teased and he just looked at me

"Of course but only for you" he replied making me lose my words

I was about to reply when he got a call he saw it was klaus and groaned and I giggled he answered anyway and they started talking

After awhile Kol showed Klaus a video of Jeremy and Klaus said thank you "Jasmine's with him to I'll have him hurt her as well if you don't do as I say" he said and I looked at Kol with fear

"No no Jasmine I will never hurt you I promise ok?" He asked and I nodded feeling some what safe

"I should get going" I said standing up and leaving to find Jeremy

"Jeremy! Come on let's go home" I said and he nodded and we finally got home and it was around 9 and I decided to go to the store to get some stuff for us in the morning.

"Jeremy, I'll be back soon" I shouted as I walked downstairs

I walked into the store and got a cart and started shopping for stuff

After I finished shopping I left and started loading my car when I was about to get in my car there was a voice behind me

"Late night shopping isn't safe you know?" The guy from the park asked

"I know" I stated simply "not really afraid of people"

"Well you should be" he stated before someone hit me over the head and I fell to the ground groaning

"What do you want?" I asked hissing in pain

"You," he smirked "you see rumor has it that you are close to three Mikaelsons and I want to kill them"

"Ya well your luck sucks cause they are just my friends they wouldn't go out of there way to save me" I snapped

"You are so naïve, there will always be at least one Mikaelson who will always save you" he laughed

"Ya and which one is that?" I said not really caring

"Me" a voice growled behind the boys and I recognize the voice as Kol and I smiled

After Kol quickly defeated the first guy the one who hit me grabbed me and held me close to him with a stake in hand

"Leave, or I'll kill the hybrid!" He yelled nervous

"Go ahead kill her but I will kill you" Kol threatened and I kind of felt hurt that he just told the guy to kill me but I brushed it off

"You'd let her die?" The guy asked Kol just stayed silent and the guy stuffed vervain in my mouth and made me swallow it before he let me go and I started falling to the ground coughing up blood

Kol ran up to my limp body and cradled me in his arms and I looked up at the guy to see his neck was snapped and I looked at Kol and started crying a little

Kol held me closer and kissed the top of my head "it's ok your safe. Your safe" he soothed and I heard him sigh in almost a relieved way that I was ok

Kol drove me back to mine and Jeremy's apartment

"Thank you, I'd invite you in but this is supposed to be a safe place" I explained and he nodded understandingly

I was about to walk inside when Kol grabbed my hand and spun me around and pulled me into a gentle hug which I returned

"Thank you again Kol" I said as I dug my head deeper into his shoulder

When we pulled away Kol looked at me with one hand on my cheek and the other holding my waist

He slowly leaned in and so did I before our lips met. Our lips moved in sync and sparks were going everywhere and I realized how happy this boy made me and I smiled against the kiss

When we pulled away Kol looked into my eyes smiling like and idiot but I couldn't judge cause I was too

"I should go" he whispered and I nodded not wanting him to go he pecked my lips one more time before leaving

I went inside telling myself I'll just go shopping again tomorrow
