Chapter 5

I awoke to the sounds of chirping echoing through the forest, I rubbed my eyes and sat up, still half asleep

My hair was messily patted on my head having bits of grass and dirt scattered throughout. I pulled myself to my feet.

I began to walk back towards what I assumed was the direction of Na'Kara village, to continue the search for the thief that had assaulted me, if there was anything that would lead me to her it would be in Na'Kara I assume .

I reached village about 45 minutes later, the festival wasn't as colourfully decorated as it was the last time I was hear. I guess they just forgot to take some decorations down

I walked the streets, they were mostly empty for this time of day, I sighed and tried to find the alley where I was assaulted. I turned a corner and ran into someone. "Oh sorry" I mumbled as I tried to help them up, reaching out my hand, they politely declined my offer and stood up.

"It's fine I wasn't looking where I was going" I got a better look at the person and saw black hair pulled over both shoulders and amber eyes glistening with the morning light, they wore a purple flower crown and a light purple sun dress.

"Um are you just going to stare at me or...?" I blushed shyly "No uh Sorry" she giggled slightly "The Names Aphmau, who are you?"

"I'm Laurance" I said shrugging my shoulders. "So uh Laurance as an apology, I'll buy us lunch!" She chirped

"Sure" I said a smile tugged at my lips. She grabbed my hand and we headed off, but one thing lingered in my mind
