Starting at a new school has always caused one to be nervous. All eyes on you. Afraid to be judged as soon as you walk in. Afraid of what people would think of you. But not me. School is for education, not social trends and drama. All schools have that. Drama. Whether you're the new girl or the captain of the cheer leading squad, you're always going to be judged by the way you look, act and who you socialize with.
"Y/n, you ready?" Mom knocked on my door, slowly opening it. "Yeah," I grabbed my backpack and tossed it over my shoulder. "It's your first day, honey. And you chose to wear that?" She asks me. I look myself in the body mirror next to the door. I look fine in my joggers and ex boyfriend's T-shirt he never got back. Lol. I shrug, "yeah? Who do I gotta impress?" I chuckle bitterly.
"Okay. Let's go then," she sighs giving up something she knew she couldn't win.
"Please behave yourself. Don't get into trouble." She says pulling up to the front of the school four songs later. "Mom, I don't start the problem, I end it. Period. The last bitch deserved it. I did nothing to her and she started an unnecessary scrap."
"Language." She barked sternly. I hate when she thinks everything I get caught in is my fault. How was I supposed to know that my lab partner was her boyfriend? The dude was hitting on mW. Not the other way around. I scoffed, "thanks for the ride."
I entered the halls of Liberty High school. Taking a deep breath, I sighed before following the signs to the front office to get my schedule. "Hi. I'm Y/n. I'm new here." I said as nicely as possible. The lady looked up from her screen, "ah yes, the transfer. Give me one second and I'll pull up your schedule. Would you like a TA to help you find your classes?" She ask me kindly. "Uh, yeah. That'd be great." I smiled. She typed away on her keyboard.
"Can I have Justin Bieber come to the front office, please?" She vocalized through the speaker phone. "Justin should be here. He's the schools A+ student and has been here since freshman year. I'm sure he wouldn't mins helping a beautiful girl such as yourself." She smiles handing me my schedule. I smile in return, "thank you miss..." "Oh honey, call me Jackie. Everyone does."
"What's up Jack?" I turn around to the sound of the sexy, rasped voice. And the sexy voice definitely belongs to a good looking boy. "Y/n here needs a tour around the school. Do you mind helping her find her classes?" Jackie asked.
He looks me up and down and smiles. I couldn't help but feel insecure for a split second. "Yeah, I have free period any way." He answers with a killer smile.
"I'm Justin," he introduced himself. "Y/n," I smiled. Great going. Y'all already know each others names....
"May I?" He points to the papers in my hand. "Oh yeah," I hand them to him. I watched his expression as he scanned the paper. His long light brown eye lashes flicker as he reads the schedule. His jaw flexes as he swallows. Omg creepy of me!
"Here," he hands them back to me, "have a good day Jack." He waves to the lady in the front. "You too, son. And you have a good first day, Y/n."
We walked down the halls. All eyes in Justin and I. Some girls scowling and the guys gawked. What's their problem? "So where did you come from?" Justin starts. Thank God. "Phoenix, Arizona." "Wow. The States. What brought you to Canada?" He asks me. "Um, my mom got a job offer here and I really didn't have a choice to move." "You would have stayed there?" Boy, is he full of questions. I shrugged, "I mean, there was nothing there to do or people to stay there for. So I guess moving somewhere new wasn't an all bad of an idea." "Well, welcome to Canada." He smiled kindly. The little butterflies in my tummy erupted and I looked away shyly feeling a blush creep my cheeks.
