▶︎ Start by being friends

The bell chimed and that signalled lunch break and the beginning of [F/N]'s mission

Her current concern: Aren't I his friend already? Or.... Am I already sibling-zoned?

She spotted her target-- I mean, she spotted her Senpai with Kageyama by the vending machine

Kageyama being there made her uncomfortable and as she was about to turn away, Sugawara noticed her (LOL) and he called out to her

"[L/N]-chan!" he waved to her with a drink in the other hand

"A-Ah.. Sugawara-senpai" she waved back with a forced smile and headed towards the two boys

As class went by, [F/N] looked out of the window and stared at the vast blue sky

"In 1177, relations between the Taira clan and...."

'How am I ever going to get Senpai to confirm our relationship?'

"[L/N]-san? ...... [L/N]-SAN? .... [L/N] [F/N]-SAN! ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?!"

"AH- YES SORRY-UHM-hehehe.." she shot up from her seat and bowed a few times before the teacher told her to sit down

Some people snickered or giggled but your ginger-haired friend, Hinata, was worried about what was wrong

The girl decided to watch the volleyball team practice in hope of being able to spend time (alone) with her Senpai

As she sat on the bench, she couldn't help but stare at the grey-haired boy practicing so hard even if he wasn't the official setter anymore

She admired his stamina and reliability. It was strange but Sugawara-senpai was definitely the mum of the team and the dad would be... Daichi-senpai? She giggled at her silly thought 

Little did she know the mum of the team was glancing at her too

'What is she giggling about? Is there something funny? No-no, I have to focus... But she's so cute'

He smiled at his thought and used much more energy whiling practicing 

Meanwhile, the whole team noticed their lovey-dovey aura and felt pity because of the lovers' denseness

After practice was over, Shimizu asked [F/N] and Sugawara to bring the equipments to the store room while everyone hurriedly cleaned up and went outside to leave the two alone

'Now's your chance, [F/N]! Make use of it!' The [H/C]-head thought and gave a little bow to thank Shimizu

The Senpai was arranging some shelves when his Kouhai spoke up

"S-su-Sugawara-senpai... ano.." her voice suddenly became small

"Hmm? Yes, [L/N]-chan?"

'I love you!'

'Can I be your girlfriend?!'

'You smell so nice... //shot'

'Will you marry me??'

She thought of so many lines but decided to fold them, put them in a box, lock the box, throw the box into a void and let Saitama to One-Punch the key

Just as she froze, he reached a hand to her and ran his slender fingers on her hair

"Wh-Wha-what are you doing?!" she took a step back with a flushed face

"Oh uh, there was something on your hair" he scratched his cheek with a finger

'There was something stuck on your hair... your hair... your hair... your hair...' the sentence replayed in her head over and over again, she wanted to just jump into a hole with all her embarrassing thoughts

"What were you going to ask me?" he asked remembering that she called out to him for something

"Su-Sugawara-senpai... C-Can.. can I be your friend?"

The question threw him off, he looked at her dumbfounded then opened his mouth to answer

"No.. I'm sorry"

[F/N]'s eyes opened wide when she heard the answer.. She felt her face getting red and she looked down

"You're already one of my best-friends, [L/N]-chan!" he smiled and patted her head before walking out of the room
