Jack :(
Baby please talk to meeee
Jaaaaaaaaaaaack***
He has no right to be mad at me, does he? I mean, if he were in my shoes, would he want to keep the baby?
I don't want to be selfish, but I don't know if I'm ready for a kid. I don't want my kid growing up, thinking that they were just some mistake. They were a result of rape, which was true. But that'd hurt to know.
I can't just lie, either. I can't tell them that their father is Jack, or someone else.
But would they want to know their father was a rapist?
What if they wanted to meet him?
***
Jack can we please talk?
***
My phone immediately starts to ring and I answer.
"Hey," he sighs.
"Jack, I'm sorry."
"Can you just explain to me, why you want to kill your child?" he asks.
"Okay, hear me out. It's not killing. The baby isn't fully developed and it won't feel a thing. People do it all the time.
"I'm not ready for a child, Jack. And what kid wants to grow up, knowing that their father is a rapist? Or that they were some mistake, by fault of rape. Plus, if I'm not ready, then I can't give them the life they will need."
"Have you talked to your parents? What do they think, baby? I mean, it's your call," he tells me.
"If they find out, they'll kick me out. As long as I'm under their roof, I have to follow their rules and guidelines, Jack. Getting pregnant is not one of those."
"I'm sorry for overreacting. I should've considered how you felt about it," he says. "Baby, if your parents kick you out, I'll be right here for you. And I'll help you raise the kid, if you decide to keep him or her."
"Jack," I sigh. "What would your fans think?"
"I didn't even think about that."
"I'd get called every bad, slut-shaming name in the book. What would they say about you?" I ask.
"I'm only trying to help, baby. We can explain that."
"Jack, my biggest worry is that I'm not ready. I'm not ready to give up my younger years, and that might sound selfish, but I never asked for this," I explain to him.
"Baby, if you're not ready, that's okay. You didn't ask for this. You shouldn't even have to make this decision. I'll be with you every step of they way."
