Monday morning, Emma woke up exhausted. She hadn't gotten much of a relaxing sleep the night before, She was too worried about Aria. Killian had told her not to worry, but she couldn't help but think that she would try something to get with him. She would admit that she was jealous though. A part of her told her that Killian was going to fall for Aria, but another part told her that he wasn't going to stick around for her.
Her phone ringing brought her out of her thoughts. She reached over and grabbed it, smiling wide when she saw Killian's name lit up. She slid the answer button over and turned on her stomach.
"Hey." She said happily.
"Morning, love. So, I wish I could have breakfast with you, but I'm running late, so look in the hallway." And that was all he said before he hung up.
Emma slipped on a robe and did as she was told. She opened the door, and saw a paper bag and a paper cup in front of the door. She heard a ding and looked down the hall to see the elevator doors beginning to close, but Killian was standing in the elevator with a smile on his face. She blew him a kiss and he pressed it to his face playfully before the doors closed.
She went back into her penthouse and took a sip of what was in the cup, and was surprised to find that there was hot chocolate with cinnamon in it. Inside the bag was a bear claw, and her heart warmed, and just for a moment, a very small moment, she forgot about everything in the world, except for Killian and how incredibly sweet he was.
After breakfast, she got dressed and went down into the lobby. She waited in the lobby for Aria to show up. Once the clocked struck 7:00, Aria stumbled through the door. Her makeup was natural, and her blonde hair was pinned up into a bun. Another housekeeper, Aurora, was standing next to Emma. Aurora was the head of the housekeeping staff. She had been working for Emma the longest, and knew every step and procedure when it came to cleaning the hotel. She also made sure that rooms were clean after other staff members cleaned them. A five star hotel was hard to achieve, but very easy to lose.
"Remember, Miss Thompson, one screw up, and you are done here. I can't afford to lose everything that I have worked hard for." Emma said, sternly. Aria nodded and Aurora led her to the elevator. "Okay." She breathed out. She walked to her office and unlocked the door. She sat down at her desk and pulled out her phone. There was a text message from Killian.
'Missed you today.'
She smiled and typed a response. 'Missed you too.'
Shortly after, her phone started ringing. His name was lit up on the screen, and she smiled and answered it.
"Hey, you." She said seductively.
"Hey, love. Did you enjoy your breakfast?" He asked.
"I did, but it would have been better if it was with you."
"Aye, well, I was really busy this morning."
"Doing what?"
"Setting up our next date."
"What do you have planned? Or is this a surprise too?"
"Sorry, love, but it's a surprise too."
"Damn. I can't wait to see you though."
"And I you. I have to go though. I'll see you soon."
"See you." She hung up and had a big smile on her face.
Killian was smiling too. He was currently on the roof of the hotel, looking down at the city. He planned to stargaze with Emma. The wind blew in his hair and he knew she was going to like what he had in store.
"Are you sure that this is a good plan? What if she is afraid of heights?" David asked from behind him.
"She's not. But, if she really didn't like heights, why would she pick the penthouse all the way at the top of her hotel?"
"Good point, and good luck."
They both walked back inside and to the elevator. On the way there, Killian caught a glimpse of Aria. She was leaning against the wall, playing a game on her phone. She glanced up at the ding of the elevator and winked at him. After the doors shut, he rolled his eyes. Once the doors opened again, he grabbed his baseball cap from his locker and put it on his head backwards. He grabbed his cart and went to Emma's office. He knocked on the door and waited until she gave him permission to enter before he did.
He shut the door behind him and went over to her. She was already standing up, meeting his bright blue eyes. She walked around the desk and leaned on it. He came over to her and put his hands on her hips, while hers found his shoulders.
"Good morning, love." He said huskily in her ear.
"Morning." Emma breathed. It was still a new feeling. She wasn't used to letting herself actually feel. She couldn't believe that Killian could make her turn into a puddle just by one look.
She closed the gap and kissed him sweetly. The passion was building as the kiss got deeper. Killian licked her lip, begging for entrance, which Emma gladly gave him. He leaned her back on the desk, and kept kissing her.
When they both pulled apart for air, they breathed heavily on each other's faces. Both of their eyes dark with lust.
"Excuse me for a moment, lass." He said and walked out of the room.
Emma used this alone time to gather her thoughts and calm down. She was physically attracted to Killian, just as she was emotionally and mentally. She didn't want him to think that she just wanted him for sex, because that wasn't the case. She figured that going out on some more dates before they jumped into bed together was the best course of action. She knew that the next date was going to be her idea, whether Killian liked it or not.
