Bryson Pov

Mrs.jackson:ok class so remember that you have a math test Wednesday and you have a math exam next week....just because we have 2 more weeks left of school doesn't mean you slack(yelling to class)

I was in the back of the class room looking down at my note pad trying to figure out the rest of the words to this song I was thinking about writing.
I was working on it for about 3 weeks.
I let me pencil tap the piece of paper.
I was trying to figure out the next verse when the school bell rung.
I quickly got up followed by everyone else and headed out the door.
Before I could ease out the classroom mrs.jackson stopped me.
I huffed as everyone made their way pass me.
She held on to my arm as she waited for everyone to be out the class.
She looked at me.

Mrs.jackson: Bryson......every time your in class you don't pay attention....it's like your ignoring me....you know you have a test and exams coming up and you didn't even bother to take nun of the notes I gave you(concerned)

Bryson:listen mrs.jackson.....I get good grades in your class.....I have a B+......trust me I'll be ready ight??

Before I could hear what she had to say I looked towards the exit to see peanut and Tae waiting for me.
I smiled at mrs.jackson before leaving out the class....

Tae:what took you so long??

Bryson:nun...so wassuh with y'all??(looks at Tae then peanut)

Peanut:well look you know today is Friday and Kevin having his annual Friday night party....so you down??(smiles)

Bryson:nah ain't feeling it...besides I got to go home and study unlike some people(looks at both of them and laughs)

Tae:look Bryson you always doing something boring get out and have fun for once man....you know the hoes miss you(laughs)

I shook my head and laughed.

Tae:foreal B

As he said that 2 girls walked up to me and smiled.

Girl1:hey Bryson....you going to Kevin party tonight??(smiles)

I looked at Tae and peanut then back at them.

Bryson:I don't know yet

Girl2:please come(smirks)

They both kissed me on the cheek then walked off.
Tae and peanut cane over smiling and laughing hard.

Peanut:seeni can never just have random girls walk up to me like that on no regular basis

Tae:yea man you have a gift

I ignored them.

Bryson:ight look ill meet up with y'all later ight

I dapped them up before I headed to my next class.....

Daniel PoV

I looked into the school bathroom mirror and traced with my index finger the fresh bruise left under my eye.
I put my bag down on the sick and quickly grabbed my makeup bag.
I grabbed my foundation and applied it to my bruise.
As I was I paused it the middle feeling tears coming down my face.
Why did my step dad beat on me??
Why?
Ever since last year he's been getting laid off at his new job.
Less hours means less pay and he didn't like that.
So my mom started working more hours and she's bringing in 2 times the money he wished he did.
So he started drinking feeling like he wasn't shit
Like he wasn't the man of the house.
He's also been getting high.
And when he comes home mad,drunk and high he hits me for little reasons.
Or no reasons.
I finished getting myself together.
I looked at the clock and it was almost 2:30.
Cheerleading practice was almost here.
I looked into the mirror and took a deep breath.
I then walked out the bathroom......
