Chapter 12

Daniel PoV

*next morning*

I woke up to the presence of sleeping Bryson.
I smiled at my head lid on his chest.
I looked out the window and saw the sun shining bright into the window.
I sat up a little on the bed but winced at the sore pain of my bruises.
All last night was terrible.

*last night*

I stood up off the floor and started heading for the steps.

Derrick:so you just gone ignore me? (Slurs words)

Danni:hi derrick(sarcastic)

Derrick:aha that's better sweetheart(sarcastic)

I made my way to the stairs but by now Derrick was blocking my way.

Danni:move(mad)

Derrick:is that any way to talk to your daddy??(laughs)

Danni:look i just wanna go upstairs ok??

Derrick:NOT till you tell me who that boy is you been hanging with for the pass weeks.....yea I know about that little dude you been bringing around my house.....(mad) stay away from him Daniel(mad)

Danni:your house? Since when is the last time you paid the bills?? And I see whoever I want your. Or my real dad(mad)

I started to walk up the stairs just to get yanked by my hair by Derrick.
He through me onto the floor and kicked me in my stomach.
He then punched me in my face followed by another punch.

Derrick:ohh you gone get it now(laughs)

Danni:MOMMMMMM.....DASIAAAAAAA(yelling)

Derrick:there not here....there at the store(smirks).....

He stood over me with his belt in his hand.
I knew I was gonna get it bad......

*thought over*

I shredded tears as I remembered what happened last night.
I couldn't go back home.
Not with Derrick there.
I guess I was being noisy cause Bryson woke up.

Bryson:you ok???(concerned)

Danni:yea just.....tired

Bryson looked at me and nodded.
He got out the bed and walked into the bathroom.
I followed.
He was brushing his teeth.
I hugged him from behind letting my head rest on his back.

Danni:i have to go home......(sad)

He spit in the sink and wiped his mouth with a towel.
He put both hands on the sink looking at me through the mirror.

Bryson:no.....not until I figure out who did this to you

I looked down.
I wanted to tell him but not now.
I know Derrick had work today so he won't be home till tonight.
So I'll leave when he gets there and go over ravens.
I just need time to think this all out.

Danni:listen.....trust me Bryson.....I'm ok just trust me please

He turned around and wrapped his arms around my waist.
He pulled me in for a kiss.

Bryson:ight I'll trust you....

I smiled.
He walked out the bathroom and I looked into the mirror.
I didn't even recognize myself anymore.
That scared me....

Bryson Pov

After I dropped danni off at home I immediately came home after Eric,Tae,peanut and my grandma blew up my phone telling me to come home now.
I walked into the house acres of what they was gonna tell me.
I walked into the kitchen to see all of them standing around my grandma.
She smiled as she saw me.
She had the house phone in her hand.

Gm:baby....it's for you(hands Bryson the phone)

I was confused.
But took the phone.
I answered the phone.

*phone call*

Bryson:hello?

Timberland:hey Bryson this timberland

My heart dropped as I heard timberland on the other line.

Bryson:wassuh?(smiles)

Timberland:well I've. Wen hearing everybody talk about your Don't song on SoundCloud and I just had to hear it in person for myself so I'll be in your home town this weekend do you think I can hear you sing??

Bryson:yea Fashoo ummm meet me at Stardom I'll be performing

Timberland:ok nice....I'll keep in touch

He Huns the phone up.
I hung up too smiling from ear to ear.

Gm.so what he want???(exited)

Eric:what he say?(exited)

Bryson:nothing major just he coming to hear me sing this weekend

All of them screamed in excitement.

Bryson:aye aye he didn't sign me yet so calm down everybody just be chill about this ok??

They nodded.
They all started talking and I just headed into my room.
I shut my door and sat down in my chair.
I looked up to the sky and smiled.

Bryson:thanks mama.....I love you

I looked down and smiled.
Hope this is my time....
