I'v had a discussion with the king about my project! It took a while but... I finally did it. He said he would think about it. But of course this could mean many things.
He even asked what plans I had to help the underground. I told him about the survey results. The main thing people wanted was to find two more human souls and break the barrier. I'v heard rumors of a human with a gun and cowboy hat walking around but... I haven't seen anything so far.
He looked saddened when I told him the news. He hated killing humans but. What was he going to do? Let the humans kill his son and do nothing. If humans killed my two boys then I would want to declare war on humanity as well.
He thanked me for my work than escorted me out of the castle. He told me that there was nothing I could do about the situation so I should do something else that involved science. But that got me thinking maybe I could try and build a human soul.
I know it sounds crazy but I think I could do it. How do we know the barrier has to have a human soul to brake? Maybe it could use a substitute.
I'll have to try and figure this out. I will update as soon as I have major progress.
