After Sasuke dropped me off at my house, I smiled and thanked him. "Do you want to come inside?" I asked, but he shook his head.

"Better go." He nodded at me and I saw him go.

"Wait!" I called and I grabbed his wrist. Sasuke spun around and his eyes softened as he made contact with mine. "I have..." His eyes widened and gripped my shoulders. "Great gratitude in what you do for me. So, thanks again Sasuke." I smiled. A fake one.

When are you going to tell them? Tuberculosis is a very serious matter... I thought it was gone..but somehow it came back!

Shut up Inner. I will tell them when I'm ready. Maybe never...

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow. Good night Sakura."

A voice startled me but I replied automatically, "Yeah, good night." Sasuke treaded off and I stared at his back. I sighed. Looks like the symptoms are coming back, so I'll have to start wearing my mask and get pain killers from Rei-chan.

I had a snack, brushed my teeth, and went to bed. After 15 minutes of reading Basic Chakra Control and Medical Ninjutsu, the coughing started. I just hacked and wheezed until I found my handkerchief and my special inhaler. Slowly I began to recover from my episode and was drifting to sleep. I greeted my old friend, darkness.

~~~~~~~~~~flashback~~~~~~~~~
"OKAA-SAN! OTOU-SAN!" I wailed as the rouge nin stabbed my father with a kunai knife and another blood curdling scream was heard from my mother. The same rouge nin that had just murdered my father now held my mother by the hair.
"Sakura, run! You can't do anything to save us!"
"MOMMY I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE!" I cried as I felt hot tears pour down my face.
"Sakura...I love you so much, honey. Stay alive, eat healthy, and be the best you can be. Most of all...don't ever forget that..me and Daddy love you so much! Don't let anyone get you down, and always remember that whatever you do, we'll be proud of your decisions. Thank you so much for being the best daughter I could ever ask Kami-sama for. The thing I regret the most is that I won't be able to see you turn into a beautiful young lady. Please forgive me and your father...I-I love you so much, Sa-Sakura..."
I felt something wet on my cheek and touched it. On my fingers was the blood of my own mother. My eyes widened, my heartbeat quickened, and felt a wave of multiple emotions crash on me. My parents are dead. I'll never experience another hug or "Good morning!" from them. Then it dawned on me. I was alone. I hadn't a purpose. I want to die. Take revenge on them. Kill that ninja that made our life miserable. I screamed, and I felt something take over me, and I met darkness another time. The dream shifted to an ANBU member..
ANBU pov
I heard the blood curdling scream that cut through the silence like a katana. I looked at Dragon-sama and we both nodded. Someone had become a victim of the rogue that had snuck in a day ago. We both concealed our chakra and jumped on rooftops towards the noise. I heard another scream and we looked at the scene before us. There are two casualties, a man and a woman, probably married. Then we saw Hikaru Dyjobu, the ninja we were to hunt down, dead with his eyes open in shock. Then we saw a little girl, no younger than five or six years old, lying on the ground. Her pink hair was spread around her head like a mane, and she was out. I checked the little girl's pulse and found it to be steady. Dragon-sama checked the couples' pulse and found that the wife was definitely dead. The father, however, was alive, but barely. We rushed the father and child to the hospital to get them back on track. I held onto the girl, who was younger than me by five years. My comrade carried the man. As we were on our way to the hospital, I glanced down to the unconscious girl who had almost an exotic look to her. Light pink hair that reminds me of candy floss and bright green eyes that were rolled to the back of her head. I gripped her tighter and she mumbled some like, "Mom, don't go.. I'm all alone." I was saddened by what she said. She was an orphan now. Many children were already orphans from the Third Shinobi War. At last we made it to the hospital. I handed the girl that looked about the same age as my brother to a nurse and went over to the Hokage tower to report.
"The rogue killed the mother, now identified as Mebuki Haruno. The father is in critical condition as of this moment, and the girl is fine. Hikaru Dyjobu is deceased, with death unknown." I said after I bowed lowly.
"Weasel. Take off your mask." I did as I was told and slid my mask off. My onyx eyes looked into the Fourth Hokage's.
"Yes, Hokage-sama?" I asked.
"Itachi, I am giving you a personal mission to befriend and find out what happened tonight to the girl. Her name is Sakura Haruno. She will definitely go through a hard time. Sakura hasn't any friends duet to to her...conditions." I raised my eyebrow. "You will find out soon enough. Now go."
I bowed and turned to leave but I remembered something strange about Sakura and the rogue."Hokage-sama, I remembered a few strange things you should know. Sakura, a six year old, has no scratches and the corpse of the rogue had claw marks on him." I continued walking after seeing the frown on the Hokage's face. Furrowing my brows, I walked out into the night and back to my house.
