"Ginny! Mary!" Was all I heard as I opened the door, an was crashed into by a girl with very bushy hair. "Hermione! What are you doing here? I thought you were going to spend your holidays with your parents." Ginny said as Hermione let me go and moved to give Ginny a hug, which she happily returned. "I told them I really couldn't go, I heard about your dad and I knew that I needed to be here for you. Plus, I'm rubbish at skiing. I'm so happy to be here through. So, what do yo- wait. Who are you?" Hermione said as she looked to Ally with a frown. "This is Ally Bane, she's a friend and a fellow Ravenclaw -5th year by the way. She'll be staying with us also for the holidays. Ally, this is Hermione Granger, 5th year Gryffindor, and Hogwarts Prefect." I said to the two of them. "Pleasure," Hermione said and stuck out her hand. "Nice to meet you as well." Ally said with a grin, to which Hermione smiled. "I think we'll all get along just fine." I said with a proud grin as I walked over to my bed and flopped down on it. "So, Ally, Ginny and I were going to have a sleepover. Care to join 'Mione?" I asked.
"Sure! But you can't have any of my books of we play truth or dare!" Hermione said as she walked over to her trunk and closed all her books in it. "Okay. I hadn't even thought about playing that game, I think that's a great idea through, so thanks Hermione!" Ginny said with an evil smirk on her face as she crossed the room to her own trunk and took some pajamas out. "I'm going to go and get changed, then we should start?" Ginny said/ asked as she walked back over to the door. "That's works." I replied as I looked at Ally and 'Mione. "Cool." Gi and with that she left to change.
"Ummmm, do either of you have some pajamas I could borrow? I haven't got any of my things with me." Ally said as she bit her bottom lip nervously. "Sure! You can chose from these." I said as I got up off my bed and went to my trunk and pulled out two sets if pajamas: a grey T-shirt with a fluffy blue sweatshirt and black pants, and a long sleeved grey shirt with light blue pants. "I think I'll wear these if that's okay." Ally said as she reached for the grey T-shirt, sweatshirt and pants. "That's fine by me, just wanted you to have a choice." I said as I put the other pair if pajamas on my bed, I'd wear them. "Thank you." She said with a smile. "No problem." I said happily.
When Ginny was done and back in the room, Hermione went and got changed then Ally, and then me. When we were all back in the room and comfortable, we began our lovely game of Truth or Dare. "Truth or Dare Gin?" I asked as I sat cross-legged in front of her, with Ally to my right ad Hermione to my left. We had formed a small circle between the beds. "Truth." She said with a shrug. "Okay..... Is it true your dating someone?" I asked her. "Yes." She replied her cheeks turning a deep scarlet. "Who?" I asked her as I wondered who he was. "Sorry, but you already asked your question. Now it's your turn, Truth or Dare Lily?" She asked changing the subject. "Whatever. Dare." I said rolling my eyes. "I dare you to kiss Fred tomorrow when he walks into the kitchen for breakfast!" She said with a huge grin. "Fine." I said as I sent her a glare then turned to Hermione. "Your turn, truth or dare?" I asked. "Truth." She said right away. "Is it true that you, Harry and Ron used Polyjuice Potion in your second year?" Ginny asked her. Hermione's eyebrows shot up in alarm. "Yes. But how did you find out?" Hermione asked her panicked.
"I have my ways." Ginny said and left it at that. Hermione took a deep breath to calm herself then turned to Starlight. "truth or dare Ally?" She asked her. "Dare." She said nervously but determinedly. "I dare you.... To read your least favorite authors books for a whole month!" She said. "No, Hermione. Remember? She's a Ravenclaw and Ravenclaw's love to read, if you want her dare to be hard then it should be this: Do not read any of your books for a whole month." She told Ally. Ally mouth fell open as her eyebrows shot up and her eyes widened. "A- a whole m- mo- month with out r- reading??" She asked and Ginny Hermione shakily. "Yup." Gin replied. "And to make sure you follow through, Mary is going to keep an eye on you when Hermione and I can't." Added Ginny.
"My baby's." Ally whispered as she stared at the floor. "Don't worry AllyCat, you can do it. I know you can!" Hermione said with a confident smile. "Thanks." Ally said retuning the favor. "I just realized that our truth or dare games are rather boring with out Tonks. We should see when she will be staying here with us!" I said as I stood up. "Good idea, I bet my mum will know, we should go ask." Gin said getting up. "Yeah. But I'll go ask, you guys can stay here. Be back in 5." I said getting up and walking to the door. "Okay." Ginny said sitting back down. "Let us know what's going on down there too when you get back!" Gin called after me. "Okay!" I called back as I head into the hallway. I had just reached the main hall when I saw something move into one of the rooms.
I made my self very still and quiet and walked over to the door and pecked though the small crack and watched as I saw Kreacher looking at a huge tapestry with pictures of faces and names on it. The Black Family Tree, I realized with a start. This was the tapestry my grandmother kept in the house, I wondered if I was on it. Most probably not, I mean my dad was most likely burned off of it, so why would I be on there if he wasn't?
Still I wondered. That's when my neckless felt hot all of the sudden. And then I felt weightless, then like I was spinning, and then. Everything went black.
