Ch 27 : Of Horseback Riding and Summer Jobs

Hallo, Your Majesties~!

This will be the first part of the Karuizawa arc and one of my fave characters is taking the spotlight haha

Saa, let's get on with the chapter! You probably know this already but I don't own OHSHC or its characters :) The next chapter will be out by the 28th which is the day Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children goes out in the theaters in my place ^^

P.S. The video is a piano off-vocal version of Lost One no Goukoku. It's not exactly what Tamaki plays in the anime but I think it's a great song :) You don't need to listen to it but if you want to go on ahead. JubyPhonic used this version for a cover as well. Pic is how I imagine Ielle looking like. The horse's coat is different though and it's female ^^"

3rd POV

It was the day after the start of their summer break (please do not ask how many summers have already passed xD) and Hikaru and Kaoru were basking in the sunlight and the sense of contentment of waking up with no classes.

An obnoxious voice tore through the early morning in the Hitachiin manor. "Hikaru! Kaoru! Hikaru! Kaoru! Hikaru! Kaoru!"

Hikaru groaned while Kaoru buried his head in his pillow, trying to block out the noise. It was obvious that they didn't want to deal with the caller this early. It was six in the morning for heavens' sake!

"Mm... Hikaru, the phone is ringing...", Kaoru groaned, brows furrowed with his eyes refusing to open. "Hikaru..."

"Ngh... Kaoru, you answer it...", Hikaru mumbled in the same manner.

"No... That ring tone means it's Milord calling..."

Frustrated at the unending loud voice of the ring tone, Hikaru sits up and reaches for the mobile phone sitting atop the headboard. Kaoru sits up as well, leaning his ears towards the phone as his brother hits the call button. Both were yawning with tears in their eyes.

"ASDFGHJKL!!!" Taken aback by the loud and incomprehensible voice on the other line, the twins almost fell back onto their bed.

"Calm down, Milord!" The two exclaimed. The person on the other line, Tamaki, repeated his words in a less ear-splitting way. "Wait, huh?! Haruhi, Erei and Kyrie are missing?!"

"Haruhi has been kidnapped?!" Honey yelled, too surprised to notice he had been awoken early from his sleep.

"Haruhi went bankrupt and fled by night...?" Mori repeated, holding his phone in the middle of his morning training.

"That's right! I've been calling Haruhi since the break started but no one answers!" Tamaki exclaimed, face pale. "I can't get a hold of Ranka-san at work, either!"

"Jaa, what about Erei and Kyrie?" Hikaru asked.

"No one is answering in the Akasia manor and both of their phones are out of reach!" Tamaki replied, answering the phone connected to the twins. He was currently using multiple phones to have a conference call with everyone. "I bet Haruhi couldn't pay the rent so she was sold into slave labor! If not, she must have fled by night! The Akasia family must've been held hostage inside the manor so they couldn't answer their phones!"

"Milord, please calm down your voice", Kaoru interjected. "Why don't you just call Haruhi's phone or Ielle-chan?"

"Cellphone?! Haruhi doesn't carry that kind of thing! And I don't know Ielle-chan's number!" Tamaki raged. "I've done some research. There's a common-folk organization called 'flee by night'--"

"Sorry to shatter your dramatic delusion but...", Kyoya cut off his ranting. The ravenet sighed as he wore his glasses. "The three of them are in Karuizawa"
