Ch 31 : Forgive my Secret

Sorry for the late update, Your Majesties~! The WiFi connection at home got cut and now I'm using the school library to update this lolol

P.S. Video is a song called Let's Walk Together by TOUCH which features Sun Woong (he's a member) and So Hyun who both star as the main roles in a short KDrama called Ma Boy. It's one of my favorite KDrama despite its lack of more episodes.
See that cute picture? I'm planning on sewing an Elly (Elizabeth 3rd) plushie based on it so I can give it to my best friend. She can't have an actual because she's allergic to cat fur like Zen so I want to give her a cat that's safe :) __________________________________________________________

Ielle's POV

"I apologize as well, everyone", I said, bowing low and closing my eyes as I await their reactions. When they said nothing, I continued. "I wasn't thinking. I was selfish

"The truth is that I really want to thank you for staying with me and my brother. You were there for him during the times I wasn't around. You took care of him like family", I looked up before bowing even lower. "I truly am, grateful"

"Ye-chan...", I heard Kyrie call softly but I shook my head, smiling. She nodded glumly and stepped back.

"I really am sorry for having you at the receiving end of my anger. It just... This anger inside of me and the hatred for that guy just... it consumed me", I held a fist over my chest. "I just can't forgive him what he'd done"

"What exactly...", Hikaru's voice made me look up. He had a straight expression but his eyes were looking at me warily, as though his very words could break me at any moment. Which they probably could. "Did that Lance guy do to you and your brother?"

I stood up straight and motioned for Kyrie to stand beside the hosts.

"You need to know as well, Kyrie, since you're the one closest to my brother aside from me", she nodded and stood beside Honey-senpai, to which she placed a hand over his shoulder.

I inhaled deeply and waited a few seconds before slowly exhaling. Then I turned to them with a sad smile.

"Lance was...", I cleared my throat to gulp down my shaking nerves. "Lance was a friend of my brother back in England. They met when we were only 7 years old..."

Flashback Time! (This story is told in Erei's POV as it was relayed to Ielle; also, they're speaking in English here since they're in England so the non-italicized words are in Japanese)

"Nii!", I turned my head and smiled at my twin sister who was playing on the slide. We were at a small park near our family home in the outskirts of the kingdom. Dad had us live here if we weren't in the castle to have a bit of privacy.

Both my sister and I are wearing disguises and regular clothes to blend in. She had a jumper over a white blouse and white sandals to replace her usual gowns and had her hair tied up in low pigtails and a beanie on. I basically wore the same with a jumper over a white shirt, white sneakers and my hair in a ponytail and a beanie.

Mom and Dad were at home and let us play out here since not a lot of people come here.

"What is it, Ielle?" I asked, coming over and leaving my spot on the swing. She grinned at me and I could see how her eyes light up in happiness. I shook my head mentally. I really love my sister.

"Nii, let's ride the slide together!" She suggested. I chuckled and ruffled her hair.

"Alright, alright. Come on, I'll sit behind you", she squealed in happiness and climbed the ladder while I trailed behind her. I sat down first and she sat in front of me. I hugged her from behind by her waist and pushed ourselves down the slightly long slide. She squealed softly on the way down and I couldn't stop the smile on my face.
