Chapter 2: The Infection

Now, several Necromorphs walk hidden in the station. They wait for the right time to kill and infect other people.

A Stalker, a Necromorph born in the body of an animal, which looks like a velociraptor, enters in the hospital of the station. With him several Infectors and Lurkers. The Infectors resemble manta rays, they levitate in the air and have a stinger with which they inject the virus in the body of the people.

The Lurkers are in the nursery. It is night, and all human babies are asleep. Several Lurkers are entered the room, and watch the babies, angrily. One by one, they kill babies, in impaling them with their tentacles. It's a carnage, no baby survives. Then the Infectors arrive and one by one, they inject the virus in the body of the babies.

To their laps, babies become of voracious Lurkers, and begin to escape into the air ducts. When the nurse enters the nursery to see what happens, she finds all the beds, empty. Then, a drop of saliva falls on her forehead, from the ceiling. She looks up and sees all the lurkers hanging from the ceiling, and that looks at her. She does not even have time to scream, all the Lurkers pounce on her and devour her, alive.

Meanwhile, the Stalker walks in the empty corridors of the hospital, followed by an Infector.

In one room, a woman pregnant. She is lying on the bed but not sleep. Then she saw the door open and the head of the Stalker appears in the doorway. The woman is petrified with fear and unable to scream. The Stalker walks toward her, growling and drooling on the floor. The woman tries to call for help, but the Stalker cuts her throat, with his claws.

The woman chokes for a few seconds and dies. The infector leans on the bed and pierces the head of the woman with his stinger, then he injects the virus. The process takes only a few minutes.

The woman becomes a Pregnant, a pregnant Necromorph. It seems that the virus acts on the state of health of the victim. In this case, the woman has now, a Necromorph baby in her womb.

In the room, the doctor sees that the heart of the woman is stopped. He rushed into the room to see what happens, but he found the bed empty.

(Doctor): "Hey? Or are you?"

He felt a blast of hot air on her neck and turns up. The Pregnant stands before him, threatening. The man is horrified.

(Doctor): "Oh my god!"

The Pregnant pierces him with its two blades and fact drop him to the ground. The infector comes and transforms the doctor in Slasher. In a very short time, all hospital patients are killed and transformed into Necromorphs.

In one room, two children saw the Necromorphs and are hiding behind a sofa. A child looks up and throws a glance. But a Slasher is in the room and looks around.

(Child): "Drop down, and do not make any noise."

The Slasher approaches the couch and sniffs the air, children are just hidden behind. The monster does not seem to seeing them and eventually, is out of the room.

(Child): "Phew, he's gone."

But suddenly, the Slasher appeared before them and catches them before to devour them alive. Blood spurts on the couch and the ground, and we hear their screams down the hall.

Meanwhile, the guards take their showers. Among soldiers, women and men take their showers together, and they will do not protest.

A woman finishes her shower and puts a towel around her waist, before going to his locker. But as soon as she opens, a Lurker jumps in her face and begins to devour her. The others are horrified.

(Soldier): "Holy shit, what is this thing?"

One of the men took his gun and approached to the Lurker, which continues to devour the head of the woman.
