Chapter 10: Rescue Mission

Isaac and Ellie are entering the laboratory by one of the inputs that the Necromorphs have not yet found.

Now, the building resembles a battlefield. There was blood all over the walls and floor and several humans mangled corpses everywhere. There are also several dead Necromorphs, which show that the soldiers fought.

(Isaac): "We must find the Youngs. That's our priority."

They move slowly in the corridors, weapons in hand. They are wary especially ventilation ducts, as the Necromorphs love to hide in ambush.

They go discretely to a room, as several Slashers are devouring corpses. They are too busy and do not notice the presence of Isaac and Ellie.

Ellie must refrain of vomit as a Slasher has torn a look at a corpse and the blood flowing on the ground. The smell of decomposed meat and blood is really atrocious. Isaac and Ellie go, leaving the monsters to their feast.

Several Wasters have collect several corpses and then a Infector launches a jet of venom on all bodies. Then the corpses seem to merge together and form a Brute Necromorph.

Meanwhile, the youth group is locked in a cell and are disarmed. On the other hand, a Waster at seen them and tries to destroy the door to meet them. If it managed to enter, they are doomed. They can not do anything without a weapon against a Necromorph mad. With its axes, the Waster destroyed the lock and managed to open the cell door. The group fell to the bottom of the room while the monster walks towards them. Calista has tight Maria against her, to protect her.

The group has no weapon to defend himself against the creature. The Waster says a few words and prepares its axes. But a shot is heard and the head of the Necromorph explodes into pieces. Suddenly, a call comes from one of the computers that are in the room. The group rushes to see what it is. Isaac established contact with someone. A woman in military uniform, appears on the screen.

(Loana): "I'm Sergeant Loana. Are you hear me? You are Isaac Clarke?"

(Isaac): "Yes it's me, what do you want?"

(Loana): "We have identified your signal on the planet Aegis VII, having followed in the footsteps of your ship. We are here to evacuate you."

(Ellie): "Sergeant, take care, the planet is infested with Necromorphs. If you have soldiers with you, that they take their weapons."

The group was very impressed. The spaceships have landed on the plain and the soldiers began to leave, with weapons. There is nothing left.

Meanwhile, Loana tries to reconnect with his soldiers, but no one answers. Except one. Man appears on the screen. He is being run, and seems completely panicked.

(Soldier): "Sergeant Loana, it was a ambush. These monsters come of everywhere, the whole area is invaded. All others are dead or missing, I am the only survivor.... I will...."

He did not have time to finish his sentence. A band of Slashers jumped on him and begins to cut him into pieces. The blood spurts everywhere and organs also. Seeing this, Loana realizes she made ​​a huge mistake to. But behind her, she heard a growl.

When she turns, she sees one of his soldiers, Johnson, who stands before her with mouth full of blood and strange eyes that looks her.

(Loana): "Johnson?" "

What began as a rescue mission turned into another carnage.
