Chapter 3: Back in Hell

Now Isaac lives with Ellie and they are very happy. Now, they see Mathias, Emily and Calista, like their children.

But now the three young recruits train to fight under the command of Isaac. They want to become soldiers for defend humanity against the threats. Calista remembers the nightmare that she at fact, this night. This is the fifth since the beginning of the week, and it come back every night.

Calista is awake in last, a little tired. Mathias and Emily are sitting at the table and eat breakfast.

(Mathias): "Hi Calista. Sleep well?"

(Calista): "Not really."

(Emily): "Still having nightmares?"

She nods slowly. Calista sits at the table and began to eat, but she was not very hungry and swallows almost anything.

(Emily): "You have to eat Cali, otherwise you'll lose all your strength."

(Calista): "I know, but since I have these nightmares, I hardly sleep and I'm not hungry."

(Mathias): "You should talk to Isaac. He'll know what to do."

After breakfast, Calista will see Isaac, who is in the studio, trying to make a weapon.

(Isaac). "Hi Cali, but.... you got a weird face, you do not feel well?"

(Calista): "No, I have nightmares every night, I do not eat and most importantly, the cries of these creatures continue to resonate in my head."

(Isaac): "The Necromorphs ...."

Calista sits on a chair and rubbed his eyes. She is very tired and not feeling well. Isaac sits next to her to comfort her.

(Isaac): "Listens to me Cali. I know you're a brave girl and you lived through the terrible things. That is happened to me is exactly the same as you, when I discovered the monolith (loss of sleep, permanent fatigue....)."

(Calista): "But now you're feeling better?"

(Isaac): "Yes, because I destroyed the monolith that caused all these phenomena on me.  But for you Cali, it's more complicated than that."

(Calista): "How so?"

(Isaac): "Well, I think you're making all these nightmares precisely because the Necromorphs are still there I think the only solution would be to return to fight them."

That idea terrifies Calista. She had vowed never again face the Necromorphs, but if this is the only solution, she does not really have a choice. Ellie enters the room and looks worried.

(Ellie): "Come We has just received a message from a spacecraft in orbit around the planet Aegis VII."

(Isaac): "It is strange. Normally, this planet is access prohibited."

(Ellie): "These are the Unitologists."

On hearing these words, Calista and Isaac are going with Ellie. Mathias and Emily also come to see the message. On the screen, a woman in military uniform appeared and seems panicked.

(Soldier): "Here the soldier Jane Braddock, from the military spaceship Thanator. We have saved of scientists of the Thanatos station, who fled the planet. Apparently they have been attacked by something, and this thing seems to have followed them so far. It's a real carnage. The dead rise and become..... These things. If you receive this message, come help us, I beg you! "

Then a Slasher appears on the screen and kills the woman, with great violence. The message stops like that.

(Ellie): "What do we do?"

(Isaac). "Prepare all your weapons and equipment. We go on a mission."

For Calista, it's the opportunity to face his fears, and if the Unitologists are involved in it, she can finally take revenge.

Each team member takes his weapon and armor. The armor of Mathias wears a skull-shaped symbol. The armor of Emily has two signs, like the wings of a demon. And the armor of Calista has a symbol like a bull's head. They all run to their spaceship and prepare for the journey that will bring them back.... In hell.

Meanwhile, on Aegis VII, another station, located a few kilometers. A station of Unitology.

The Unitologists watch what happens in the Thanatos station through spy cameras.

(Carter): "The Necromorphs have invaded the entire station. This is perfect."

(Unitologist): "Perfect? I say that is really terrifying. These things are dangerous and uncontrollable."

(Carter): "Do not worry, I would not make the same mistakes as my colleague, Xenam. Moreover, here we always ensure that the Necromorphs are locked permanently. Xenam at wanted playing sorcerer's apprentice and ignored the rules of security, but not me."

(Unitologist): "In fact, a new convoy of Slashers just arrived."

The guards and scientists, unload the cages of the convoy. The guards are armed, just in case. Inside the cages, of Necromorphs enraged. Of Slashers. One of them looking through the bulletproof glass of his cage, and roared with anger. Some guards are terrified of these creatures.

(Soldier): "Fucking Monsters. They really afraid me."

(Carter): "Above all, do not tremble. These are not mere animals. They can smell your fear and will benefit of that."

The guards take the cages in the station, or are locked hundreds of Necromorphs. Of Lurkers, of Slashers, of Leapers and even of Brutes.

Carter is the head of the station. Unitologist for several years, for him, the Necromorphs are the future of evolution. The final step to overcome the death.

He is placed in an isolated room, protected by a thick bulletproof glass. In the next room, a Leaper Necromorph locked in the room, but free from these movements.

(Carter): "Send a human."

Two guards have fact enter a man and close the door behind him. The man tries to open the door and knocks as he can.

(Men): "No!! Please!! Let me out!!"

The Leaper falls on man and pierces her head with his stinger. Then, it drops the body on the ground.

(Carter): "A perfect organism. Without mercy."

Then, the dead began to have seizures and becomes a Slasher. Now there are two Necromorphs in the room.

(Carter): "It is good for today. Fall asleep them, now."

A man pushes a button that sends the gas in the room. The Necromorphs fall to the ground, asleep. Of Guards come and bring them back in their cages, as soon as possible, because the effect of the gas does not have much effect on the Necromorphs.

Carter returns to his office. He takes a file of Isaac Clarke, the man who represents a threat for the Unitologists. Then, he also sees the file of Ellie, Mathias, Emily and Calista. Now all these people are targets for the Unitologists and must be eliminated by all means.

In the spaceship, Calista looks at a picture of her with her parents.

(Calista): "Soon I will avenge you and you will be proud of me."

(Isaac): "I'm sure they already are."

Calista turns and sees Isaac behind her. She had not heard him happen.

(Isaac):"They're missing you, and that's normal. We are here. We are also your family, you will never be alone. Do not forget that."

Calista smiling again and fell asleep in the small room of the spaceship. Isaac leaves the room and returns to the cockpit with Ellie, while Emily and Mathias prepare their weapons in the hold.

Cali made still a dream, but this time she is with her parents and not of Necromorphs in sight. Already, this is a clear sign that she is getting better. She no longer feels threatened and smiling again. But the hardest part is yet to come and the fight against the Necromorphs approach very quickly.
