Ben's POV
Today is my moms funeral. The entire kingdom is sad. But Mal? Mal hasn't stopped crying. She never leaves her doorm and shuts out the people that lover her. Even me. I love Mal with all my heart and soul but even I'm not that depressed. And its my mother!
Anyway, as I said, today is a very sad day in the kingdom, but all I can think about is Mal. How sad she is, she even refuses to go to the funeral she's so sad. I went to her doorm to find a crying Evie. And no Mal
Ben: Evie, what's wrong? Where's Mal?
Evie: Sh...sh....she's....
Ben: She's what Evie!
Evie: GONE!!!!!
Ben: What do you mean gone!?!?!?
Evie showed me a letter from Mal to me
Dear Ben,
I know that I've been shutting you out lately and I'm sorry, but I can't take it anymore. Your mom is dead, your dad hates me and its all my fault. And you can't deny it because I was the last person alone with your mom. I know you've told me its not my fault but everyone in Aurodon thinks otherwise. I don't really see the point in talking, or walking, or living, or breathing. I'm doing what's bes for me, for Aurodon, for us. But I just want you to know one last thing. I love you King Benjamin.

As soon as I read that letter I darted out of the room leaving a crying Evie behind. Mal was going to kill herself.
