I will find you, Demi.
I hastily sat up, swiping my hair back from my face with my sweaty palms that shook from fear.

Glancing at my bedside clock, it read 04:02. I took a deep, shacky breath to calm my nerves before I removed my covers from my legs and swung my legs out of bed to sit on the edge.

I picked up my phone from my bed side table and unlocked the screen. Scrolling through Instagram, I noticed Meg posted a photo with Cole. Cole's eyes were fixated on Megs smile or her red glossy lips, while Megs hand was brought mid way up to her face but was caught in Cole's grip. Meg had a habit of covering her face when she laughed and Cole was probably preventing that. I smiled.

I missed her and haven't even had the chance to give her a call. I wondered if she missed me? Probably not. She has Cole now.

I liked the photo and locked my screen before placing my phone back onto my desk. I quietly opened my bedroom door and headed towards the kitchen.

Tiptoeing down the hall, Dylan's bedroom light illuminated through his door. I slowly pushed it open, peaking through the gap. Quiet music played from his xbox with his sliding door slightly open, wind blowing his curtain upwards.

He was awake. Standing outside on the balcony, shirtless. His muscular back that hunched over the railing was rippled. With a cup of coffee in his hand, he seemed tense. My gaze traveled down his grey tracksuit pants to his bare feet that made me shiver. Mesmerised, I stepped into his room.

"What are you doing up this early?" I startled him as I stepped out onto his balcony but he quickly composed himself.

"Oh, I was just about to get ready for school." I nodded in response. "What about you?"

I placed my hands on the railing beside him and sighed. "Couldn't sleep."

His eyes were fixated on the ocean. The waves crashing onto the sand and a couple of early runners, kept him deep in thought. "What was it like?" He broke through the silence.

Arching an eyebrow, I glanced up at him. "What was what like?"

"Skinny dipping in the ocean."

Heat exploded over my face. I thought he had forgotten about that silly little outburst of mine. A breathy laugh escaped my lips as he smirked down at me, awaiting for my answer.

"Captivating." His lips twitched upwards at my response just before he sipped his coffee. "How often do you think about him?"

His shoulders tensed and he gripped the cup harder. His jawline popped as he clenched his teeth. Almost as if a switch flipped, he snapped at me. "I don't know who you talking about."

I let go of the railing and turned to leave but got pulled back into his chest. "Demi, wait." Our lips were inches apart, his hot breath fanned my face. "I don't enjoy talking about my father. Ever since your dad came into the picture and I opened up to you, I can't stop thinking about how things would have turned out if I didn't sleep with Sam."

His gaze fell to my lips and I captured my lower one between my teeth. "It doesn't matter how things would have turned out. You and your mother still didn't deserve what your dad did."

I felt his grip tighten around my waist and I stumbled back into the glass door. My heart beat sped up as our lips brushed but neither of us pushed for a kiss. His eyes grew dark with lust, studying my face.

Dylan ran his fingers through my hair, bringing my face closer to his in the process. He made no move to go further and neither did I. His short pants filled the room and the tension between us intensified.
