Maya's POV
I look up at Miles. Smiles pop out. Wait.
"Miles, why are you still carrying me?"
His smile wavers. "Oh yah" he says.
Then he puts me down.
"Um" I stutter.
"Uh... Thanks for catching me?"
"Of course" he says.
I look up at Riley and see her smiling wide.
Ohhhhhhhhhh.
She is in so much trouble with me.
"Riley!" I shout at her.
She shrugs. "Fine, I'll make us even" she says.
She looks to the side but I don't follow her look. She smiles then suddenly she tosses herself down the stairs.
I begin to shout at Riley about how crazy she is then -of course- Lucas suddenly appears and catches her. Riley is smiling even more.
She looks at me. "See, now we're even."
I laugh. "This always happens to us"
And we hear the bell ring so we run to class.

Riley's POV
Here we are again. My room.
I walk in with Maya. "Bay window. Bay window right now."
A simple nod. We sit.
"So...you and Miles?" I ask her.
"I actually don't know." she says. "Maybe?"
We laugh.
"You and Lucas?" she asks me.
"Not yet"
Her eyebrows raise.
"I mean, I don't think we're ready yet."
Smile.
"Just a few months ago you wanted to be his girlfriend right away"
"Yah I know, but I've learned a lot this past semester. We're too young....right?"
We both laugh again.
"Don't worry" I say. "We will have our happily ever afters one day, someday, just not now." She smiles. "Someday."
Here we are.
