Sams POV

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Stupid alarm Clock. The alarm was obviously created by one of those people that loved getting up early in the morning. Usually I would just jump out of my comfy warm bed at this irritating sound but not today .Today was the first day of High School .Ughh I groaned inside the thought of school was just disgusting. Not only the First day of High school my first day in a new School in a different state. Starting a new life again and again seemed to be a regular item on the agenda for my Dad and me. I reluctantly pulled away the blue crumpled sheets not that there was many left on the bed anyway and I slid warily out of the bed.

My feet touched the cold oak floor and sent a shiver up my spine something that would again not usually happen. I was hot blooded and was rarely cold .So I put this foreign shiver down to nerves. I got up of my mattress brushed down my wrinkled pj shorts and tank top and stretched. I walked to my bedroom door put my hand on the brass handle and as if he had been watching me I heard my dad shout up the stairs

"Wake up Sam first day of school".

Woo hoo I thought at least someone is excited.

I jumped in the shower ensuring I wasn’t going to break a leg in the process slipping on the wet base. In my short five minutes in the shower I was contemplating how long we were going to be in this town. I mean the last one we stayed for two years and I was just starting to make friends. But I knew my Dad's situation and I couldn’t complain it would be selfish to think likewise. I turned off the shower I wasn’t the type to take my time; I liked to take things at one hundred miles an hour. Enthusiasm isn’t exactly what most people have in the morning .Not me. I looked at my watch and decided it was time to speed up a bit.

I pulled on my favourite purple and blue board shorts my lucky Tom Brady Patriots shirt and my sneakers. Not that I needed luck but you it was good to have a ledged on your back especially at school. Now I know what you’re thinking first day of a new high school with no friends and she dresses like that. Well I have news for you I’m not the type to dress up not even for the first day of school. I finished drying my hair and tied it loosely in a ponytail grabbed my brown canvas rucksack and bounded down the stars jumping over the last three and landing smoothly on the floor. I sped to the kitchen grabbed a granola bar and some orange juice threw it all down my throat as fast as possible. Orange Juice ran my life.

Dad was just sitting on one of the bar stools reading his newspaper and eating MY box of cereal .Yes MY box of cereal he has his own in the cupboard. No matter where we where a hotel a new house a new job. Didn't seem to affect him. He would always sit and eat MY cereal every morning without fail. He stopped mid-mouthful and shouted as I was bounding out the door.
