"hey, oikawa. you doing alright?"

"of course, iwa-chan~"

iwaizumi chuckled. "that's great."

the line was uncomfortably silent.

"you know.. that incident yesterday? i... im sorry i wasn't there. my condition isn't improving and im starting to think im not gonna get out of here. i want to meet you again, tooru. i hate these white walls and the constant machine beeping. i hate the food here, i hate these stupid pills that makes me drowsy as hell. i can't even see hanamaki and the others anymore," iwaizumi started so cry, snuffing slightly. there were sounds of tissues being pulled from a box. "i miss everyone. i miss you."

"iwa-chan, don't say that. all those negative thoughts will just make you feel worse. look at the bright side! you still could talk to me, and your family visits you regularly. you have people who care about you, okay? you aren't alone and you will never be. we're all here for you."

iwaizumi let out a shaky breath. "i love you so much, tooru. im so happy i met you."

oikawa's lips curled up into a smile. "i love you too, hajime."
