iwaizumi started acting weird two days after.

oikawa's parents told him not to worry, that he was only busy and left voice messages for him. oikawa held on to that and kept quiet.

but weeks later, iwaizumi didn't change. oikawa grew impatient and worried.

one day, his familiar voice changed to a sweet and light one. "hello there. it's the nurse in charge of hajime here. im very sorry to say, but hajime had already passed three weeks ago."

"days before his death, he told me to keep the receiver on so he could record messages for you. i asked why, and he said that you would be worried and depressed if he suddenly stops talking to you. im very sorry for your loss, oikawa." without waiting for a reply, she hung up.

oikawa wasn't planning to reply anyway. tears has already begun to form, and he felt empty and useless. "i guess you really got out of there, didn't you, iwa-chan?" he whispered, laughing quietly. "i didn't expect you to do it that way, though.."
