How to survive being a Christian teen

My Entire Summer summarized :)

Hey guys ok so I haven't made another chapter of this book since before i left for Haiti so I'll update you guys on that real quick bc it was super amazing!!
-we got back from Haiti about a month ago and it was extremely amazing and just so so powerful and it was just amazing to see some of the same people we saw last year and we showed a movie (Courageous) in French and about 1,500 or so people came out to watch it and while we were out handing out invitations one of our students led a person to Christ which was amazing!! We also helped paint the inside of a church which we started and ended so it was really cool to see the project come together like that. This year we spent a ton of times with kids! We went to an orphanage that had kids who parents had died in the earthquake. And the kids there were so joyful to see us. They welcomed us with a song and then they came by every single one of us and kissed our cheeks. I got to connect with this boy (I have no clue what his name was because I didn't have a translator with me when he told me his name and you never know their name because it's really long and then the translators translate it into English) and he was 11 or 12 I think and he loved God with all his heart and we had chalk so he took some and started writing on the wall and said "Jesus loves you" and so then i went over to him and said " You know he loves you too" (he understood most English) and so we just kept writing that all over the wall and before we left he told me that he loved me and so i said it back and it was just so amazing to know that kid may not remember my name but he'll never forget that Jesus loves him. That experience right there made the entire trip worth it. It made all the hard fundraising and all the doors God opened for us worth it. We impacted so many lives it was truly indescribable.
-so then a couple of weeks after we got back from Haiti the Pulse shooting happened. I live 30 minutes away from downtown Orlando and i was actually still awake while it was happening. That morning just felt so surreal. I just kept thinking about like how could something like that happen so close to me. It was just unbelievable. My mind just couldn't really wrap itself around the fact that 50 people died. Ugh i just dont even know how to explain it!
- so then after we got back from haiti we had a few weeks of down time and then we went to the Passion Beach Camp and it was soo amazing!!!! It was in daytona beach which is literally 45 minutes away from our church which was sweet!! Chris Tomlin was there for a night and we had squad wars every morning and we had fire messages preached to us. It was just amazing. It was an eye opener of a camp and it completely changed my view on life. Like after that camp I had a breakthrough with my depression. I felt like everything I had been fighting had been lifted off my shoulders. It was just an amazing experience overall. I put my notes in the pictures section of this chapter in case you wanted to see them. But they aren't in order :/
- school started on August 10th and im only taking a few hard classes so that i wont have a repeat of last year. And so far everything is going pretty good!
