the two boys were walking, wondering when the other would split from the path. they just kept going and going.

"where do you live?" josh finally got the courage to pipe up and ask.

"i live on boy lane." tyler's answer shocked josh.

"i live on the same lane as you." josh felt himself trip over his feet slightly.

"really? what's your house number?"

"243." tyler nodded, smile on his face.

"i'm 247, so we're a couple houses down from each other! If it's chill with your guardians who live, you should come over and play mario kart. i'll warn you though, i've gotten pretty good at rainbow road if i say so myself." josh laughed, his tongue getting caught in his teeth.

"they won't care as long as i text them. plus, i mastered rainbow road before anyone had the chance to." tyler took his turn to laugh.

"we'll see about that, blue boy."

"oh, you're on, you wet sock."

"ouch. that hurt my ego."
