Finally I'd found an empty compartment! Pushing open the door I slid along one of the seats, right up to the window waiting for Lou Ellen to arrive. After a while I pulled out my notebook and started looking through it, laughing at some of my plans. Plans for what? Pranks obviously, I love them. Always pulling them whatever chance I got, much to Lou's dislike.

We are so different Lou and I, she's shy and timid and I'm well outgoing, daring. I was always climbing trees and going places I shouldn't while Lou was watching, shaking her head. Yet Lou and I have stuck by each other for, well forever (that might be a slight over exaggeration but you get the idea).

Lou finally showed her face in the compartment.

"Glad you can finally showed up. I was beginning to think you got lost."

She slid into the seat next to me and I nudged her shoulder playfully. Suddenly the door opened again and the boy we met earlier appeared in the doorway.

"Err, sorry to interrupt but all the other compartments are full and I already know you guys slightly, so is it okay if I can join you."

My eyes wandered over my sister, Lou's cat Merlot sat on the seat beside her and she was sat shyly next to me. I rolled my eyes at her shy attitude. She's not normally like this.

"Sure come in, though I think you may have to sit opposite us as Merlot seems to have taken the seat next to Lou for himself. Fat lazy cat."

My last remark earned me a laugh from the shaggy haired boy who was taking a seat opposite us. I sent a reassuring smile at Lou as I placed my notebook back in my bag and pulled out my sketch pad along with a pencil, subtly nudging her arm so to say 'start to talk to him.' but luckily enough he started the conversation for her. As I put the pencil to the paper I couldn't help but listen in on their conversation.

"So have you heard of the game Quidditch?"

"Err yeah."

I rolled my eyes. Goddamn it Lou, be more social.

"So what team do you like?"

"Um, the Vratsa Vultures..."

"Ahh, the Bulgarian team. They are really good."

I noticed a smile creeping up onto Lou's lips, finally she's coming out her shell. They kept talking about Quidditch for the rest of the journey, apart from the little break we took to get changed into our robes. It was nice seeing Lou making more friends rather than just me.

"Oh Merlin's beard. Look there it is! Hogwarts!"

The moment those words left James' mouth my face was pressed against the glass looking out of the window. It was beautiful, everything I imagined it to be. I grabbed onto Lou's sleeve, practically jumping up and down in my seat.

"We're going to Hogwarts! We are going to Hogwarts! I'm going to Hogwarts with my sister!"

As we got off the train, James and Lou struck up the quidditch chat again except this time I was included. We talked all the way up to the boats where this giant of man was calling us in a thick west country accent. I could just tell this was going to be a great 7 years.
